Nabokov to the B's?

Recommended Posts

Seriously, you are quoting eklund, this guy has been discredited so many times it's not even funny

Stupid eklund and his bullshit made up crap

Interesting trade rumor that just came across my desk from two seperate soures. The Bruins Glenn Murray is looking as strong as he has in a while, and one source tells me that that he heard the the Bruins have inquired about Nabokov. The Sharks have two number 1 goalies, and I continue to hear that Toskala is their guy.

I just also heard that Dupont has speculated on this in today's Boston Globe, so I just called my source who said to me, "That may be more than speculation, because I know the names have been discussed."

Here's what's interesting. These are two guys with salaries that many of us thought made them "untradeable." But if they get traded for one another...

I will stay on it.

My personal comment

Oh shut the f#$k up eklund "I will stay on it", you mean, "I will make shit up as I feel, and some dumbasses will buy it"

the on going grumblings here in Boston is they're looking to get either Nabokov or Toskala (whichever SJ will part with), Bryzgalov or Giguere (again, whoever the Ducks will part with), or Biron from Buffalo.

but then again, it's the Boston media..

Anybody that has been mentioned i think would be an upgrade from Thomas or Toivunen. Although both great goalies, they can't carry us to the playoffs.

I just don't see why the Bruins would trade for a tendy when they've got Rask coming up and it's not like they're seriously a threat.

Highly doubtful that the B's or Sabres would ship players within the division.

I doubted the Sabres deal too... seeing they already sent Raycroft to Toronto

So eklund is the junior version of Stan Fischler? Just make it up as you go..........

Much much worse, someone took the time to document all his prediction over the lockout period, then the outcomes, and he literally pulled shit out his ass, and was so wrong .

It was actually an entertaining to read how full of it he really is.

I am going to see if I can find it somewhere

Obviously, Boston wants a goalie to greater compete with another playoff spot seemingly opened up with Philly's situation, but no way does SJ want Murray. If they do acquire a goalie I find it hard to see the Bruins upgrading at the position without dealing a player they've gotten from the Sharks (Boyes, Stuart, Sturm). That is, unless it is a prospect or 1st/2nd round pick.

Rask is there to back-up Toivonen in the future. Which is what I didn't get about the trade.

Sturm is already saying he would "like to test free agency, as he's never done so in his career".. so I'm guessing if anyone- Marco goes.

Ekland talks so much crap, on another board his name has been band from the board! I would take anything he says with a grain of salt!

More likely to see a three team trade between San Jose, Boston and Philadelphia...

Philly needs goaltending, San Jose needs Defense and well... Boston will look to dump salary at any chance.

San Jose gets: 1st round pick from Philly, Brad Stuart($2.4M)

Philly gets: Glen Murray ($4.15M), Toskala ($1.375M)

Boston gets: Simon Gange ($5.25M), Robert Esche($1M)

Probably won't be as extreme but I think Gagne should be moved very soon as he is the Flyers biggest bargining chip and is basically a non factor without a healthy Forsberg.

Muzz wouldn't be bad on a line with thorton again obviously. I'm betting the sharks wouldn't mind getting Niko Dimatrakos back either.

He cleared waivers so I guess they don´t.

This deal would make no sense for the Sharks. They have 2 great scoring lines and great special teams with good defense. I dont see the Sharks making a trade until their hand gets forced with an injury or somebody starts sucking. The young D are doing great with a lot of ice time. Wilson wont make a deal unless somebody is willing to pay a hefty price for a goalie.

The idea is to have Rask backup Toivonen after a year or two in the "A" starting next year and then using them as a tandem when Rask gets up to NHL speed. Of course, that was the plan with Raycroft and Toivonen so who really knows what will happen.

How does that deal let Boston dump salary? They're taking back almost exactly what they're giving up in dollars.

Most teams would rather spend $5 mill on Gange then $4.5 on Murray..
