Xn10 vs. True 1

Recommended Posts

Hey guys i finally have the money after getting rid of some of my other hockey inventory and have decided to get one of these. i am a person that mainly wrists it and likes some pop on their shot. also, i like a stick that isnt too long that i dont have to cut it down. i might get a true 1 from peranis, and when u said 3 in shorter than stock, CHadd, does that affect the flex? also, does the true 1 flexes fell whippier or stiffer than a easton flex? i have searched for this, and would like some more feedback comparing the 2 against eachtother

For the pop i think xn10 is the bet from what i have read on this boards. But i been looking for the difference between those two.So i will look closely on what ppl will say.

I am trying to get away from easton a bit.

I tryed my friend apollo for 5 game and its definatly the best stick nike as ever done.As far as the other i did not tryed them yet.But the damn xn10 sure bugs me a lot he is so damn light (exactly what i like) and its easy to buy a cheap pro one.The stealth look good too but everyone can agree that eastons blade are the question mark and god know they are not cheap and hard to come by.

So for now only thing i can tell you from what i have tryed

Apolo > all synergy (even the si-core)

i will get a novius this week or early next week so i will know if novius beat the Nike.

You may notice a slight bit of difference at 3 inches shorter, though if you add a plug it will put it back to close to normal. As for comparing to Easton, the flexes in the flex chart are pretty accurate. I never used a true 1, the ones I picked up just didn't feel right in my hands.

I got a XN10 and loved it. Eventually though I started to hate it and I played a few games with it without getting a point. I dont know if it was my playing or my stick. Then with 2 shifts left in a game my dad (Team Manager) handed me my

Si-core. I played 2 shifts and got a goal and assist.

I am not sure if you have tried the Si-Cores or not, but if you havn't you might want to consider it.

This morning a took both of my sticks to stick time (Si-Core and XN10). After shooting and messing around with both of them I like the Si-Core alot more. I used to use a regular Synergy. I hated it more than any other sitck. The Si-Core feels nothing like it.

My second choice would be a Vector 120.

what do u mean chadd? too bulky? shaft shape wrong fro your liking?

Hard to desribe. Feel is everything to me and something just didn't feel right to me when I held it. May have been balance, may have been shaft shape I'm not really sure. All of the ones I saw were a bit short and I don't really care for any of the curves.

apollo are way to flexi and have no grip, V-120 are great sticks beside the cheap blades they have on them and the RX10 are really great sticks but dont last long, my buddy had one and the graphics flew off fast and this stick cant take alot of wear and tear but besides that its great stick...!

Apollo's do come in varied flexes so he could try out a stiffer flex if he felt one was too flexy and only one stick he mentioned was a grip stick.

ya dont care about grip.... i ve been using a 75 flex synthesis and a 68 flex (approx) hull shaft. the hull flet a little too whippy for me (seemed like it twisted a little bit) and the synthesis felt pretty good. do u think the 300 inno would be fine for me or what?

It should be a bit of a step up from the 75 flex synthesis. The Synthesis are generally a bit flexier than they quote. It's not a huge jump though.

what do u mean the vector 120 blades are cheap?are they different from the v110 blades, cuz i know two ppl who are in their 2nd year using their v110 and they're holding up nicely...blades have some good nicks outta them, but theyre still intact. i'm kinda lookin into the v120s n the lecalvier but i just wanna know what you mean by the blades being cheap

The blades feel plasticky and just arnt as stiff over time as normal graphite ones. I could bend the blade on my V120 with my hand after a few weeks while i can't with a Inno blade.

I have used a Nike Apollo, broke it in half in a week.

Si-cores are great feel, but the blade falls apart.

Yellow Syerngy feels awesome and will last you.

M-1, snaped on of those, and i didnt like the weight balance.

Synthesis Gip and Non-grip, awesome two piece, the puck comes off very nice.

I only shot once with a True One, it felt nice, but i heard the 1100, is alot stronger than the True 1

i use a vector before to. i have a hard time shooting with it, it feels like you have to hit the sweet spot to make the puck go anywhere

ive used a 100flx sakic yellow synergy grip and i dont think it lasted all that long. sure, it lasted me about 2-3 months, but in one practice it went from perfect to the blade cracking in half from one timers

yea, compared to you guys it is. but round here, i've seen some last 6 months, a year, some almost 2 years.

i just think the blade couldn't take the hard impact from multiple one times

I've had my XN10 for six months and it has definitely taken a beating. Hell it even got stepped on and you could actully see through part of the shaft, but a little epoxy and the stick is amazing. The blade is still stiff as hell too.
