Ninjatsu is the art that i'd like to learn the most. But i don't have 25 years of my life to invest.

You can get a belt in Glockjutsu in way less than 25 years. Glockjutsu, Kimberjutsu, S&Wjutsu and several others are the only "arts" I would spend any time on if I were really concerned with saving the lives of myself or my family if things got physical. Most everyting else is hocus pocus. IN MY OPINION....

Links to these "arts" ? I am curious but couldn't find anything.

Sorry, it was tongue in cheek. It means; if you want to do something that will have the greatest chance of saving your life or that of your family in a life threatening situation, buy a Glock, or a Kimber, or an S&W, or a Wilson, or a Sig and learn to use it. Or better yet, develop situational awareness and learn to minimize your exposure to such situations. All of the other martial "arts" are fine and good for exercise, discipline, and fun. Sorry for throwing a curve ball this early on a Monday morning.

I am not suggesting you not take up a martial art. They are great fun. I studied Tae-Kwon-something for a few years as a kid, and then spent about five years in Aikido. In todays world, thugs are just too violent and aggressive to think that you can take one, or several, out with empty hands or even a bat for that matter. A particular mindset is required to take someone out that most normal people just don't have. Back in the fuedal Japanese era Samurai had that mindset coupled with their whole lives to practice. Much of taodays arts are more equivalent to gymnastics and dancing that real fighting. BJJ and MMA and Muai Thai are all good if your are pretty certain you'll only face one attacker and that he will not have a weapon, and that he will tap out once you get him on the ground........

Doh ! Didn't know what a Kimber was and I assumed S&W was a typo. As to your points about using e.g. BJJ in a street fight, I agree that you had better be damn sure that your assailant's buddies are going to remain idle before you start trying to go for that arm bar. Which is one of the things I always found interesting about disciplines like BJJ; it may be great for situations where one-on-one hand-to-hand combat is assured, but it would seem to ill-suited to most 'typical' dangerous situations, compared to some other disciplines. Team ultimate-fighting, anyone ?

. Team ultimate-fighting, anyone ?

I'm in :D

Also, Kimber is a higher end 1911 style handgun manufacturer. Wilson combat is pretty much the same thing.

I'm not saying i'd like to lear Ninjutsu to save my life but ninja's fascinate me... Have you seen the balance and skillz this guy has? Ninja's take out their opponents by surprise and if this guy fell from a tree in front of me, i'm not sure i'd have time to take out my weapon.

If you enlisted in one of the armed forces you could work your way (perhaps) into one of the special forces arms and learn that stuff for real...
