Custom Sherwood sticks? Possible or Not

is it possible to custom order Sherwood wood sticks much like NHL players such as Spezza on the Sens and Stastny on the Bruins?

I did a dozen 7000 SOPs for one guy here. Now everybody is asking about getting them made up! Its really easy. Plus a dozen SOPs = less than 3 OPS!

Out of one order (dozen or however many) how many 'defects' do you get?

What's the policy on them if you don't like the curve that they made for you...or something was different that what you wanted?

Mack, I would say that any defects among the 12 are close to non-existent. When I did it for myself, I would grade out the sticks personally but by the time I was using the 7th,8th, 9th stick to the end of the dozen, there was nothing wrong/defective about them. One or two may have weighed a few ounces more than the lightest but that did not qualify as a defect. I found the curves I had ordered to be consistent from the first stick to the last in the dozen. There was never a problem with that. What kind of "defect" are you thinking of?

Langs, I send a sample of what you give me as your pattern. I just need the same size as a replacement blade for Sher-Wood to copy the blade pattern. What you give me is what you get. There is no return policy on a dozen SOPs. Once you get the dozen sticks, you are usually more than satisfied. Its a nice kicker to have a stick made up with your name on it, too.

I know how you send in the blade to them, but mistakes happen. But I guess there isn't a return policy if they mess up something?

There is no return policy on a dozen SOPs.

I had to process a return because the customer wanted short hosel but SW couldn't do it. They gave him a medium hosel length.

TPS jacked up my customs and they redid a batch for me. But yeah, for the general public, what you see is what you get. There's more attention to detail with the customs.

Sherwood could do an Easton Sakic clone without a sample couldnt they?

ive done both sop 5030's and 950 sop tapered blades, good turnaround and quality, unfortunately both times curves had inconsisitencies.

I just did two orders for customers, Sherwood was pretty fast, about 3 weeks. Also, If you want them to match something you are using now, send them the stick, they'll copy it exact.

I still prefer TPS over Sherwood. I think they produce a cleaner blade.

The 'defects' I had in mind were flexes not turning right or yeah, a big curve error. I realise with wood there's a hit-or-miss factor but it sounds like they're more consistent than anything I'd find off a rack in a store.

And you only got 8?I thought you needed to order 12?
