What I really want to know is why would anybody need a blender that *can* blend a puck (blue or black, it's still hard rubber). Have people stopped making smoothies with bananas and yogurt?

What they don't show ya is them tossing those things in the garbage after each test. They are trying to tell you how strong they are but all we really want and need is durability.

Good or bad, I've seen kids make many more plays stickhandling the puck now in mites and squirts because of it.

Well, these are the exact same blenders that they use at Starbucks and Jamba Juice, so I would say the durability is quite good. Next time, tell your barrista that if they don't blend their broom, they won't get their (unnecessary) tip.
