I tried that move in our pre-game yesterday 3 times. It worked 3 times. obviously I didnt do it as smooth as Getzlaf did, but I like the move.

What do you mean without his own gear? I think the players wore new jerseys and shells on their pants and gloves. They still used the same gear as usual. Still a nice goal though.

He basicly sell that hes going to the back hand and beats the goalie where he would of been had he not taken the fake, works great on butterfly guys because they go down to move lateral, as soon as they start moving, the upstairs is open...

he just does it like butter so....

Here kids call it a "reverse toe drag." Basically (using the backside of the blade) he pulls the puck towards his backhand and shoots top shelf against the grain in one motion. Man he is smooth.

soft hands, great touch around the net, he impressed me in the playoffs last year watching him in the calgary series. pretty damn good on breakaways\shootouts...

Around here we call it a "backhand toey" or "backhand toe drag", IMO its the best looking move out there if you can do it smoothly. I still can't pull it off like he did in the shootout earlier in the season.

Fastforward to about 3:15 into it. The resolution sucks though so you can't really see how sweet of a move it really was.

that move i can never be able to do.......even in floor hockey i have troubles with it.....the youngstars game was a mess......dont play the youngstars game and have a full roster have a skills competition....but the goal was really nice though

it was on CBC.....but anyways though i dont get versus either but....the youngstars game sucked....a bunch of kids were flipping the puck around and laughing when a hit happens.....that made me laugh

lol......what am i doing wrong??? theres about 3 or 4 other people from there...anyways though.....getzlaf has nice hands but has limited playing time to use them in anahiem though....get him some more time and hell score probobly 35-45 goals a season
