RBK 8K or NBH 8500 Helmet

I am looking to buy a new helmet with cage. I not sure which one should i get. RBK 8K or NBH 8500 helmet.

Anyone trying this helmet?

go with the 8k, much better style wise, lighter, and better air flow. i think the 8500 is ugly as hell. If you must go with NBH, id say 5500 is the way to go.

I had the 8000 and thought it was to bulky and big. Then I bought the 8k and I liked it alot more because its light and more comfortable(imo).

I used the NBH 5500 and 8500...but like the feel of the old foam better, so I went to a pro-stock CCM 892. I like it a lot....most comfortable helmet I have worn so far.

I personally have 2 RBK 8k, and in my 2x yrs f playing hockey, its by far the most comfortable & light helmet I habe yet owned!

I would say go with what fits your head the best. Most likely one of them will feel better than the other one. Protection wise, I'm sure they would both be great. It's more a matter of fit & feel IMO.

I've got the 8k and love it. Hardly even feels like I'm wearing a helmet and its incredibly comfortable.

It seems like the 8k breaks fairly easy, i would go with the 8500, if you can't decide on fit alone.

It only seems that way. I went from Bauer 5000 (same as Nike Bauer 5500) to RBK 8K and am very happy. Very light and very comfortable yet quite protective and durable. Another one you may want to consider - the new CCM Vector helmet. Not sure if they are available yet.

LOL, yeah the vector is ugly. Buy what fits your head. Is the 8K worth the money over the 6K?

depends on what you value. i have an 8k and i don't have any complaints, but it doesn't exactly blow all of my other helmets out of the water... if money is a concern, then i might look elsewhere seeing as it's considerably more expensive than a lot of other very good helmets. nbh 5000/5500 or the rbk 6k might be good options.

somebody told me that the 8k is basically the same as a jofa 690 with new styling, any truth to this? i was skeptical when i heard it just because they look so different.

ya i dont think so... the adjustments on the 8k are totally different and the outside/inside shell thing is pretty clearly different... but that doesn't mean they don't share some technology...

8k was going to be the new Jofa helmet before RBK bought CCM.

RBK 8K design look better than NBH 8500. But i couldn't be happy as I using CCM 692 helmet, it make me headache.

I am looking for a comfortable helmet.

What's price for RBK 8K, does it come with a cage.
