Mountains in the east

i am thinking of going on a trip to a big mountain here in the east and i am interested in Stratton MT, VT but anyone else who has been to some big mountains in the east please leave suggestions or experiences

If you are going to Vermont try Stowe. I guess another thing to ask is are you going in winter to ski or summer hiking. If it is summer you gotta take a trip up Mt. Washington, and ride the Cog Railway if you get the chance.

Here in Maine, like PurpleCobra said, Sugarloaf or Sunday River.

Being from New England and living in Colorado it boils down to this.

What New Englanders call mountains we call bluffs.

What New Englanders call ponds we call lakes.

Its all perspective.

Not quite. The highest mountain range in the world is the Mid-Oceanic Ridge in the Atlantic ocean. Only problem is that it is all underwater with the exception of Iceland which is an outcropping of this mountain range.

And remember Bouce there are no winners B)

Yeah but that education probably carried you into at least grade 5 by Texas standards, which has no mountains at all.
