Sparty4 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 I'm looking for someplace to pick up some extra ice in the Metro Detroit area. Currently I'm playing pickup once a week but would like to find a few new spots where there's a bit more competition. If anyone knows of any ice i would appreciate a heads up.I apologize if this is a repost, if there is a related thread already started on this subject please just let me know. Sparty4 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Thanks, I will check it out.Quick question...do you know how what kind of showing they get as far as number of skaters and pace of play is? I am by no means an allstar but I can play and am looking for something with a younger group of people who know the game, play with their heads up and move the puck. Thanks again

But, what do you want for $8.00 for an hour and a half? :) Most weeks there's about 3 people on the bench so there's some room. I won't be there this weekend but, possibly next. PM me if you decide to go.

Sparty4 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Everyone... thank's for the heads up I'm gonna try and make it out to a couple of these next week. It seems like the real good skates are always in the middle of the day... sucks to have a day job.
epstud74 24 Report post Posted February 24, 2007 middle of the day is everywhere. It pays to be a famous ex NHLer or something along those lines and get 2 hour lunch breaks..cuz nowadays I never get any ice time, but back when I was younger and working retail, I could play the 11-2pm ice times and go up against guys like Reed Larson or Bill Butters. I still remember the time I parked myself in front of net during a drop in game when Larson was playing..I didnt do it again.
