didn't he try somehting like that before, I can't remember the game but he also took the puck and threw it toward the net but he missed and official didn't see it because of a pileup of bodies upfront.

The funny part about this video is the fact Toronto got an extremely questionable holding the puck call the game before which really hurt them. Cola grabbed the puck routinely and put it down, then this Semin thing goes uncalled.

Semin with a natural hat-trick last night, in a 7-1 whooping of Tampa.

Of course, we moved from a crappy one bedroom apartment to a nice 3 bedroom single family home this weekend, so I was without cable and internet, so I didn't get to see the damn game

I think Ovechkin is the better player.

I am a big big semin fan though, and I say this expecting to be contradicted.

Semin has the best shot in the NHL at the minute, bar none.

Look at his 2nd and third goals on the tsn highlights for reference, or even the third.

There are about 6 bodies in various positions, with about 6 inches of net opening, and he puts it there.

He may not be the best player, but he has the best shot in the league, and is close to being one of the best stickhandlers/one on one(or three) guys on the ice too.

But he has no defensive conscience and has lazy spells, until he breaks those habits, he cannot be considered the best player on the team (although he is my favorite, has been since I won 3rd row seats to a caps/panthers game in march 2004, where he put on a show)

More than Semin, but not compared to a lot of other players.

Ovechkin will hit you, take the puck from you, score on you, and hustle back to his own end.

Semins not a hitter, but he tries, will take the puck and will score on you, but rarely hustles back to his own end

you are right tho, his shot is rediculous whether it be snapper or wrister, or even a slapshot...the guy is a sniper for sure
