2008 Mission Product

Recommended Posts

For those without receipts, if the product is within the model year, we will replace them...The hard part is in the older models. We have no idea when you bought them. If the product is current model year, we know that it is less than 1 year old.

I hope this helps those...

Also, after seeing these posts, I went and checked out returns on pants. We have received back less than 1% of pants sold...I hope those with issues will send us the pants back, so that we can fix the problems.

That's because most people prefer to complain about a problem rather than solve it.

Chadd, agree with you to a certain extent. some of the guys I play with dont bother with the feedback or working with warranty cause they would rather channel the costs of shipping into a new pair... thats them, not me.

Justin, I've tried to do the warranty registration on the mission website, but it only lists USA and Canada... what about the rest of us in other parts of the world?

It's human nature, not a shot at you or your friends.

no problem... take as many shots as you want. Doesnt hurt my feelings.

I'd rather send the stuff back, problem would be to then get something in the interim. Not everyone has 2 sets of equipment. I've got 2 sets, but in different countries..

I wasnt complaining, I was just stating that i hope they fix the problem with this years pants. I spend a lot on mission product, and like i said earlier, the pants are the only thing ive ever had a problem with. I'll send them back but only because i have 2 other pairs of pants to wear while i wait, otherwise i wouldnt bother just because a) its a hassle B) ive bought other brands crap that last just as long and paid more for it... so its not really a big deal.

Damm didn't know you could return it within the same model year without a receipt! :-(

The guy from our team that bought them from hockeygiant, recieved a email as invoice/receipt, which he deleted by mistake, so we thought we were out of luck.

We tried to get them to re-send us the email, but they never responded to our emails, and the lady working the phone just answered "sorry".

Our pants are He7500's so now it's too late :-(((

Mission pants suck, both this year and the previous years model have ripped apart within 3 games for me.

I've seen quite a few people blow out mission pants in their first game.

Don't tell me Mission does a proper job of quality control on pants, think it's a disgrace they still sell them on the market, instead of retracting them.

The last couple of years the durability hasnt been all that wonderful, but the Type-M's were the greatest pants ever produced. I still wear them to this day, and they only have 1 little burn/hole in the knee area. They have been worn for over 150+ games, easy.

We have the best return policy in the business...

By Far.

haven't tried the type-m but i still have a pair of D1 pants that are like tanks.

I still have D4 pants that are solid as well.

Judging by the past few years Boss skates will probably be around $500. Gloves ~$120, maybe more.

How does everyone feel about the vangaurd? also how is the wicked 5 for durability (i need new skates and i dont want to spend more than 300 bucs)

I would guess that the Wicked 5 would have decent durability. Although if you are determined to spend less than $300 it might be worth the wait for the '08s to come out. Then you could get the 08 $300 price point model (assassin I think or maybe the Lieutenant) or get the Wicked 1 for around the same price.

I don't know who you play for, but i play with a bunch of the University of Michigan guys, and they apparently have Mission sponsorship. They claim their getting the new stuff somewhat soon, although that remains to be seen. The college roller hockey is always more talk then action. My friend had a pair of his skates stolen from the rink he works at, but is waiting for the college season to start so he can use the sponsorship to get the new skates.

(If it's the NCRHL or any of the lower leagues, don't you get deals through revision and etc?)

I play for Slippery Rock Unniversity of Pennsylvania (ECRHA D2)

and we have the option of using a deal with mission like every other NCRHA member school but it is just pants gloves and helmets. so i still need to supply my own skates.

I'm not complaining about the quality of Mission, I'm just simply providing some feedbacks on quality issues and hoping they can be fixed for future Models. As I live in Hong Kong, it's not too cost efficient for me to send a pair of pants back to Mission just to get a replacement. The cost of shipping itself would probably be more than the pants.

Like nickyb said I think its just pants, gloves, helmets from mission. We do get deals on Revision wheels though, which is really sweet considering the price they normally are.

Isn't it 50 a set?

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of mission skates, but I skated on the Boss skate today and the boot is extremely comfortable, and the new Hyper wheels are probably one of the best wheels I've skated on that is out there. I'm definately going to buy a pair when they are released.
