Easton Synergy II shaft

Recommended Posts

comparing shafts to OPS is like the proverbial "apples to oranges". tell us what shaft AND blade you're using, then you might have something to work with.

Not to be a prick but, most of us don't buy OPS just to cut and turn them into shafts.

Gotta' give everyone more to work with.

i'm tired so i should have been more specific. it would be a synergy II drury blade in a synergy II shaft. basically, is it more similar to a synergy st? synergy se/sl? you get the picture.

so you want a durable synergy OPS with a Drury blade?

SL = super light... that means you should expect the thing to break.

ST = super tough... that means it's gonna' weigh more, light comes with a trade-off.

SE = super elite... marketing strategy.

are you stuck on Easton's? if you are... if I was... SE hands down!

I have gone through two STs in 6 months. My friend has had his SL for a year now...

The combo would probably be similar in weight closest to the SL

have you actually read this thread? there was no "combo" even remotely mentioned.

Furthermore, if you break a stick a week... why do you keep wasting time and money on them? most of us are not interested in "I got a friend, with no name, plays hockey in a rink, I'm sure you've heard of him... God, ya know, I can't think of his name right now! But I sure like my unreliable piece of sh*t stick that even I can break with my limited intelect.

Try contributing... or at least read what the topic is... please.

wouldn't a synergy II shaft with a synergy II blade be similar to a regular symergy?

it would be a synergy II drury blade in a synergy II shaft.

actually, the combo has been mentioned twice, maybe you should read the thread big guy.

Synergy II is like a Synergy SL, from memory. Of course, Chadd / JR can overrule me at any time.

ST is heavier than a Synergy II combo, SE I believe has a different heel.

the synergy II is (was) advertised as an SL in 2 piece form. In other words, the construction of the shaft and blade match that of the SL, they just aren't fused together.

With the addition of the SE to the lineup (and the discontinuation of the SL), the blade construction may have changed for '07 to match the blade construction of the SE.

I have a synthesis(with a synthesis composite blade) and it feels more like an '04 synergy grip than a SL. The synergy II shaft feels like a SL in your hands but I never played with one so I can't tell you for sure.

Last time I checked most OPS come with a 30 day warranty. My last was post was in response to your post with 'limited intellect' (it's spelled with two l's not one by the way):

Dumbest post ever. If i mentioned my buddy's name anyway does it really matter? I doubt you know him anyway. There have been lots of msh'ers that use SL's and have had no durability issues. There are also a few here including myself that have had durability issues with the ST. Bottom line: these are stupid assumptions and you're an even bigger moron for recommending a stick that you have had no experience with.

Quick question regarding the Synergy II shaft:

Is the the '07 model of this shaft a little bigger (in diameter) and boxier than the '06 model?

I recently got a '07 pro-stock 85 flex from CT and it feels a tad wider and boxier -- and MUCH more stiff(!) -- than my '06 100 flex. I deduced it was because it's a pro-stock shaft.

So, I just picked up a (cheap!) '07 70 Flex on ebay, thinking it would be just like my '06 model, but much whippier of course, and it feels exactly the same as the wider, boxier pro-stock shaft.

Anyone have clue?

thanks for the help everyone.

lol after reading the thread, i don't know if you've gotten the info you were looking for... just squabbles here and there (which, by the way, fucking BAFFLES me that people would get so bent out of shape over something as insignificant as this).

IMHO (AND speaking from experience with STs, SLs, Si-Core and original Synergy), the Synergy II plays MOST like a SI-Core with a little more weight towards the blade, and a little less feel (since the Syn.II tapered blades aren't silicone injected, as far as I know)

I'd say the Synergy II combo is somewhere between a Si-Core and an SL, but that's what i think.

of course, i'm sure there are people who'd agree, and some who'd call me something akin to a "misinformed, Easton-experienceless liar." and if you're one of THOSE cool cats, keep it to yourself.

hope this helps, daca

I agree with you about it being between a si core and an sl.The shaft seems to be a little bit thicker like cavs said than the sl but a great stick imo

Anyone know the anwer to this? I realize it is slightly off-topic, but I didn't think it warranted it's own "Synergy II: 'O7 model" thread...

Thanks!

I'm glad I'm not the only person disappointed with the Synergy ST. I think the tps response armor, after you break them in especially, blows them away.

I just ordered a 2nd tps R/A and plan to sell my synergy next week. What should I get with that extra money? hmmm. I was thinking about a stealth cnt if I can find a sale, any input?

Yeh, I saw that. Do u think the cnt's are really a big step up from a synergy st?

IMO CNT Stealths are a step up in performance but obviously not in durability.
