1052 Tacks skates

I have a pair of 1052 Tacks from a few years ago. Does anybody know if they were the top of the line in the year they were produced? Were 1152s or Pro Tacks being made in the same year?

in 2003 they were I belive, and then came out the 1152 just before the Pro Tacks came out in 2005. Correct me if Im wrong.

The 1152's were top end in 2003, Pro Tacks came out in 2004 and replaced the 1152's

What he said. They were top of the line one year, still in production when 1152's came out (which were then top of the line). Then Externos (ever so very briefly), then Pro Tacks if memory serves.

1052 was top of the line in 2000. It was the tall un-Tack-like skate. Then they went to 1152 and Externo in 2001. 1252 Pro Tacks came out in 2003.

I had 1052's. Yes they were top of the line. Then came 1152. After that I switched to Bauer.

I bought a pair from B. Reid for $200 when they first came out.. Still wearin em to this day. Still in Great condition, minus some holes are starting to wear out inside on the ankles. So I'd say 7 years is pretty good in My book. Getting new skates hopefully before next season, but the 1052's will still be in the rotation. JR, What skate would be the most similar cut to these? 9K, Vector?

maybe you should be on the lookout for a replacement/extra pair via the buy/sell section or other means (play it again sports, ebay, etc).

I personally think they are one of the most ugliest skates I have ever seen but the most powerful skates I have ever worn (straight forward). I wouldn't mind picking up another pair too.

last year i picke up a pair of 1052 new in the box on ebay for $25. i love them but i may turn them into inlines.

If you wear a size 12D there's a place online that has some, but thats a pretty limited selection...I don't know your foot though :)
