For most Vapor users on here, you'd think it meant "Shit For Luck" with the mount jobs and shady durability.

I'll second that one. Havnt tried any of the newest model Bauers, but from the past models, Id say stay away from Bauer skates.

All Torhs, and other MSH'ers as a 3-year user of Vapor skates. I haven't had a durability problem or mounting problem on any of the pairs I've had. I was just saying, I remember when people use to bash the Vapors left and right so I figured I could get a few chuckles out of my definition of SFL. I personally love the Vapor line of skates and don't see myself changing anytime soon.

I didn't know the XXXs were part of the SFL line I thought that was only the XX and the models that came out with the XX. The XXXs don't have the Blue SFL rubber logo thingy on the ankle its just VAPOR in silver

And D-MAN I couldn' t agree with you more I love the vapor line, never should have got reeboks...I'm so glad i went back to the XXXs Ive never had any issues at all with Vapors

Yup. I have used Vapors for about 3+ years at this point and I haven't had a mounting problem with them yet, and no durability issues either. I don't think I'm switching any time soon either, unless I find the Mission lines to be superior in just about every way. Speaking of Mission... It's the XP line that fits like Vapors, right?

I find that most products will have times where people talk crap about durability and issues with them for a while then a lot of people start singing their praises. To anyone that is taking this as "I shouldn't buy NBH skates; I wouldn't worry about it. It's the products that keep the negative "press" coming that you need to worry about. Just be aware that their might be issues with holders being crooked when you buy, which is another reason to buy in-store rather than online.

I think the durability "issues" are mainly because they give the appearance of being un-durable because they like to take cuts. I already have a cut on both my skates, one worse than the other but like the XXXs, the cuts don't effect the performance of the skate, it's purely cosmetic.
