Tilton, NH B Neal?

i do pushups and situps and a few curls before bed, thats about it, gonna do some camps later in the summer and maybe start a little running as i'm trying to drop a few lbs as well.

i've been eating my ramen noodles and drinking a monster every morning and then trying my best to avoid doing anything at all.

oh and yeah i go to stick and puck 4 times a week.

What kind of running are you guys doing to get your lungs back?

Doing some sprinting 2 times a week (dont want to over do it) 30- 45 minute runs comfortable pace. usually 2 times a week

Lots and lots of suicides. Hit the bike and go mountain biking once a week as well... Burpees are good for cardio as well.

Been Doing the power matrix on squats and bench as follows

1st set - 8 reps

2nd - 5 reps

3rd - 3 reps

4th - 1 rep

5th - 1 rep

6th - 5 reps (cooldown/stretch out

Bench Monday, squat Wednesday.

Tuesdays - Varous Crunches around the House/roller hockey

Thursdays - Various Sprints between 50-100 yards

And roller hockey or skate any other random time I can

every second day ill do everything in the nikebauer strength and power section and the other every second day ill do conditioning and speed. also do 20-100 yard sprints 3 times a week and rotate between 200 and 400 situps every day.

I think he was saying that he varies the distance...from 20 yards up to 100.

Mon, wed, Fri

3X 8 Squats

3X 8 lunges

3X 8 bench

3X 8 flies

3X 25 jacknifes (weighted)

3X 25 reverse crunches(weighted)

Tues, Thurs

Sprints in the bball court across my house

Sprint from the middle to one end, to the other end, back to the middle, rest 30 seconds, and repeat until I fail

Sat, Sun

1 1/2 hour Hockey

I see a lot of decent work out routines here. But I'm going to say for those of you that are still High School age, work mostly on plyometrics and supplement that with "some weights' (for hockey).

Also the most important thing you can do at this age, even more so in the summer is REST!!!, eat well and drink water.

Work out smart, not hard and give your body time to recover. Rest is the most understated aspect of a good workout plan.

What do you guys think which one is better for off-season training:

5 kilometers of jogging or 18 kilometers of biking?

I've been doing both, but I think I should concentrate more on other of these two.

Basically, what I've done is this:

Plyometrics 2x week: Monday, Thursday

Abs 5x Week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday

Upper Body A (Biceps/Back) 3x Week: Monday, Thursday, Saturday

Upper Body B (Triceps/Chest) 3x Week: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday

Cardio: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday

Skate Wednesday, Saturday... Shoot 100 pucks and stickhandle for 20 minutes a day, weather permitting for shooting.
