Laptop Keyboard

Recommended Posts

I have a dell inspiron 6400 notebook. the caps lock key on the keyboard has all of a sudden become super sensitive, so that it registers a stroke if the key was nudged even a tiny bit, so it doesn't even have to be pressed down for it to count as a full keystroke, so many times when i type, the caps lock comes on by accident (Because my pinky sits on the A key besides the caps lock) when my finger slides over it. has this happened to anyone else or would anyone know how to fix it?

I'm giving my own slow clap right now...

asdfa, you might want to try popping the keycap off and see if there's a flexy-bendy nipple-looking thing beneath it that's come unseated. Most laptop keyboards use this type of design. Else, you can probably hit up eBay for a replacement. Or warranty.

As mentioned, your best bet is to get a new usb keyboard.

I used to do repairs on laptops and replacing a keyboard is NO fun at all. On top of that, its expensive. I charged $89 just for the labor (and it still sucked).

each key is an individual OLED screen, its worth every penny up to 1500 bucks.

So you can change the icons and letters on them?

Sorry for getting off topic, just curious.

yes you can customize the hot keys and swap around the letters, make them spanish, russian, etc.

That keyboard is sick, but 1500 is pretty steep for a keyboard. I cringed when I bought my logitech one with the screen (Which by the way broke not long after I bought it)
