Jason16 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 Yep, it is. There was a thread on this a little while back. I believe the consensus was the equipment were factory seconds.
thefelixculpa 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 factory seconds? what does that mean exactly?i see that everything on this site is cheaper than ive seen anywhere else, yet no one really talks about it. just made me skeptical.

RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 ...what the heck are you supposed to do with replacement palms...sew them in yourself? seems kinda strange to me.Take the gloves and replacement palms to a Shoe Repair place. They can do it.
regularjoe 1 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 would these still come with replacement palms like i've been reading is the norm for the xxx's???I bought a pair and mine didn't. At the time, I didn't know they came with replacements so I didn't think to ask though.
DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 the original XXXs ('05 i believe) that were branded "bauer" came with the replacement palms. the '06 model (i believe branded nike-bauer) did not.

mack 44 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 Their stuff has blems? My brother cleared about 5 Dolo shafts from them this winter and they were all fine.
LkptTiger 1 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 I bought a bunch of AKs (the last of their 85s) and can't find anything wrong with them, aesthetics or otherwise.
twister18 1 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 Bought those exact gloves from them this past winter, no issues at all, no mention of them being "seconds" + real quick shipping (I'm only about 20 min from them tho). There were no 2nd palms, but they weren't advertised to come with them, either. these guys alos run lax.com (obviously) which is one of the most popular lacrosse equipment stores

sabre09923 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 V-11 and V14 Shins also only have $2 difference in price! I also love how there's a price difference in X-Stiff and Stiff Vapor XV's...NBH will probably cut them off soon.
DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 unless they already have. They used to be Hockey.com, then they sold off that url and switched over. Note they also don't seem to be stocking much in the way of newer equipment. For a while, they only had warrior OPS, and now have none.my guess is they're getting out of the hockey game entirely, and are keeping the site up on their lax.com server in order to get rid of old stock, and blowing out the prices. sniper_23 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2007 Yep, it is. There was a thread on this a little while back. I believe the consensus was the equipment were factory seconds.I ordered pants, shoulder pads, and got a hockey bag for my buddy and they all seemed fine to me. Everything came in the original factory packaging and seemed 1st quality to me.The prices for some of the items are pretty good compared to buying them in Canada. I would definitely buy from them again.

Most of the stuff was still in what seemed to be original wrapping and never touched the showroom. Idk where the 'seconds' was coming from. And shipping is fast anc cheap, USPS, which is why I love buying there.
hunterphfr 12 Report post Posted July 12, 2007 Seems to be alot of old stOck, limited sizes and color sections. They could be getting out of the hockey business or they just buy off lots at cheaper prices and pass on the savings.

mdamson 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2007 I bought some S9 Easton Stealth shin pads from them and they were brand new and were not "factory seconds" or blems. They were only $50. Shipping was very, quick. Overall, I was quite impressed. This was last November, so if they are going out of business, they have been for quite a while.
