Mission Fuel 110 pant or the Easton synergy 700

I am looking for a pant that has great lower back/kidney protection and these two stuck out what do you guys think??

Im a big guy that plays his entire game either in front of the net (getting wacked with everything the other team can hit me with) or crashing and banging in the corners so need a good protective pant am currently wearing ccm 452 tacks and received a rather nasty cross check/ two hand slash at beginning of last season that gave me a few bruised disks in my lower back so need better protection.

Not just these two pants am open to suggestions.

Thanks Guys!!

Synergy 700s will definately have adequate protection. Eastons are one of my favorite pants, but definately take a look at the Rbks, CCMs, and Tacklas .

I had some 452s and i got some new Nike Bauer XX lites. Very protective and comfortable.

I've been looking at those pants, how is the durability?

@ sabres48-No. They are a subdivision of Vaugn hockey.

Only in Canda, the US pants are distributed by Montreal.

Ive only had them for maybe 2 months, but they are great. No rips or tears in the shell. The padding is great, and they still feel brand new.

The missions are underrated. My M1's are diesel and I love how they have zippers/ adjustable length legs.

I have to throw the one90s into the ring. They are the most mobile pants I've ever put on, they also have very good lower back protection and even hamstring protection(who needs pads back there? anyway ;) ).

I can't say enough about Easton's Stealth pants. I have a pair of the S5s and they are built damn solid. I haven't tried the Synergies, but if the 700s are anything like the S5s, then I know what I'd choose.

i currently have a pair of these

http://www.hockeymonkey.com/ccm-hp692tackssr.html

ccm 692 tacks. they are good pair of pants for the price, and the back protection is pretty good. i would also suggest the one90 pants like tbl said or i would try a pair of vapor XXX's

I was coming from 692s myself, great protection but bulky! Didn't help that they were too big for me, like waaay too big(XXL in the CCMs and I just bought one90s in a L).

my latest pant is the fuel 110's, i play a similar type game to yours, camp out in front of the net and fight for all lose pucks, dig it out in the corners, i have to say these pants are great, very good protection and seem to have decent mobility, beter than my ccm 452s id say, i got them pretty cheap from hockey giant as well.

The pants you have chosen are an excellent choice Langkow 22. Before we throw any more brands into the mix I would say either one will do you just fine. The Eastons are an extremely protective pant which you can usually go down a notch or two from their top of the line and still get adequate protection. They have a nice streamline fit and are reasonably light. The Missions have more of a loose fit but are very protective and innovative pants. They are more flared at the leg area than the Eastons but the ventilation in them is magnificant. They are also a very comfortable fitting pant and give you features in their lower level pant you might see in higher level pants in other popular brands. Mission will give you good value for the buck and the quality is very good as well. I would recommend either one but try both on in a LHS and see which you prefer.

I used them tonight while coaching. They felt amazing, it felt like i was much more mobile, no restricted movement and I even got to lose the suspenders!
