I just got back ice hockey camp in Canada and we got to try out the new easton stealth. The Stealth isn't out on the market yet but it is the lightest stick made. If you or your son wants this i am telling you not to buy it. Just by the Easton Si-Core instead. There is not that much of a difference between the 2 and the guy that was borrowing the stealth did not like it at all.

So the point i am tellin you is DO NOT BUY THE STEALTH

They will be the same price, so why buy one instead of the other and the Stealth is apparently better so why not give it a shot???

Glad to have you aboard. Several of our members had/have them and most of the opinions have been positive.

As for comparing the two, they are very, very different sticks, especially when comparing the blade.

Edit: I see you are new. My bad on the jumping on ya. Opinions on this are like anything else, totally subjective. You should have tried it yourself, that would be a little better.

Actually i did try out the stealth and it did feel very weird. My own oppinion is that i would just stick to the Si-Core. The Blade that i used on it was a Zubov and it was a very differnt feel. Many have said that this stick will increase the speed of your shot but some later sticks will decrease the speed and this is not a plus depending on your shot. Although most people i have heard and talked to said they liked this but in my oppinion i do not. I play on a travel and a high school team and would not buy this to play on either team.

NO it wasn't the right speed but it was the right flex. and all the players that i was with did not like it either. IF u liked it then dont read and complain about my reviews

You really shouldn't do a "review" of a product after only one use. Especially something you may not be used to. what pattern do you usually use? What was the Stealths lie compared to this? What aspects didn't you like? Why did you prefer the Si-Core? There should be a major difference between the two sticks. The Si-Core is marketed to improve puck reception and should have a dampening blade where the Stealth is market to have a much more "active" blade.

Dallastars, I'll wait til the retail version comes out before basing your opinion. Some of the Pro stock Stealths were not Stealths. You could've been using a regular SyNergy and just didn't know it.

The Stealth that i used was a Pro Stock Zubov Curve. The Lie was pretty good but i didn't like the curve on the blade. The blade is the exact same compared to the Si-Core Blade. The feel is the same and the only difference that i felt between the Stealth and the Si-Core was the weight. Im sry if anyone of you do not like my reviews.

Dallasstars, I have a feeling you weren't using a real Stealth if the blades felt the same. The blade on the Stealth is going to give a COMPLETELY different feel. There is no way they felt the same, but if they did to you and it was a real Stealth, then I would question your ability for the review then.

i doubt that Zubov of the stars would not be using a real stealth but ol well.

You mean Easton's not above painting sticks to represent another model? That's so kooky it might be true.

Random thing....

if any of you have heard of Peranis hockey shop you might want to look at this......Some of the Peranis One PIece sticks "all silver that say Peranis on them" are sometimes Synergys, Nike One Piece sticks, and other sticks just painted over and charged at a cheaper price than the regular price. Just chip the paint off the Peranis stick and you might find a surprise

Again, thanks. Many of us are aware of this, but your bringing it up may help those that don't.

As for the Stealth, can't really know what you used. I am sure it was a real one. Why not.

But just for your info, one of my closest friends is in the show, and he has an opinion that differs.

He is a Si Core guy, because he likes the blade dampening. He used a Stealth in a practice, and raved about the exceptional POP the puck had in shooting. He mentioned that aside from the obvious weight difference, the blade had lots of energy.

Now thats just another opinion, buuuut its from someone who is just a titch more receptive to things like that.

Food for thought.

That's not true. NONE of the Perani's sticks are Synergys, they are all from Innovative so they are Nike, Bauer, etc... sticks. This has been confirmed several times.

i can understand the frustration dallas has. i have been lucky enough to obtain 4 different stealths, a bertuzzi, forsberg, modano and rolston. the bertuzzi and forsberg feel way different the roloston and modano. the bertuzzi and forsberg weigh about 30 grams more and do have a different feel to it. Easton did confirm that all 4 are stealths so they arent painted synergies, but for the last month i have been usin the modano and there is notable difference in the stealth from any other OPS

i've been using a derek morris stealth now for a few months and it has a totally diiferent feel then my previous si-cores and synergies. the only stick that even comes close to the stealth was my pro stock xn10 but my stealth , honestly does feel lighter and just as balanced as the xn10.
