hi , i just orderd a costom Vapor XXX lite

and i am 5'8 125 do you think that a 77Flex

is going to be to stiff for me ?

should not be too stiff at all. it all depends on how much flex you like, but that sounds good for your size

Ive been using vapor XXX lites sance last year

but they have all been 65 flex

and i orderd one from the nike ID at my LHS

and now im feeling a little bit worried that its going to be to

Looks like you need to be lifting some weights. I'm 5'4" and around the same weight as you, and I'd hardly consider myself very muscular.

Not really. I'm quite skinny myself, but for you you be 4" taller than me and the same weight, you must be a twig.

I've got SOME muscle, of course, but I'm not jacked, by any means.

My Vapor XX 87 flex and Endure 77 flex seemed stiff for their ratings. Never flexed a Bauer but they seem pretty stiff to me.

What flex are you using now?

BTW, I was 5'7" and 135 in college with 10% bodyfat...if you've got a large frame (wide shoulders/neck, thick wrists, etc) you're not too far off. I had some muscle and even a bit of fat at that weight. Most of your lean body mass is bones anyway. And while I wasn't terribly strong I was working at a warehouse and tossing around 32" tube TV's like nothing...

How was the 65 flex for you? Perfect, bit to whippy..etc? I dont think 77 will be too stiff. It might just take some adjusting to coming from your 65.

Basically a grip you put in the end of your stick...from what I have read and heard its like an end plug as well. TONS of discussion on here about them. Do some searching around..

How does it make it not as stiff

It adds length to the shaft therefore allowing it to flex more along with the grip itself flexing a bit.

There's a real science to it, it's explained much better in the thread specifically geared to the Oggy grip.

Again this another totatly personal choice and the only way to find out what works best for you is trial and error. I myself prefer a stick that is extremely whippy. I'm 6'4" weighing 215 lbs and i feel the most comfortable using an 85 flex. I currently am using RBK 7V which say they are a stiff flex but feel even whippier than the 85 Dolomites I was using. It just come sdown to finding something that works for you and sticking with it

I totally agree with you. I love the 65 flex

but im already taller then the 65 flex sticks so i dont

want to buy one and add an extention right when i get it

plus if you added a plug right away, it would make it have more flex. So it might not be exact, but it would probably be around a 60 depending on how long the extension is.
