Don't worry - we have guys migrating from here to there for this event every year. We've beaten that dead horse enough over the past few years.

You can register and do it.

Just remember - it's for the kids.

Good gesture by Hughesy and Easton. They usually get a lot of toys.

I asked on the relevant forum on the Easton site but haven't gotten a response, does anyone know if you can participate in this from countries other than America and Canada?

I was hopingc to get involved from Australia, has anyone else done this or something similar?

Does anyone know what the deal with the S17 shipment is? I ordered mine last Tuesday and was told they date they were supposed to come in didn't happen. When can I expect to get it? (Ordered from GreatSkate)

I did a pre-order from greatskate too. They told me Tuesday that they might get in in this week tuesday/wednesday or possibly later. It also depends on which type of s17 u ordered along with the curve/grip.

It is all covered in the first post of that thread on the Easton board. Perhaps a reading comprehension course should be in your future.

ok, cause the 1st 2 points really make sense...

1) no bare feet??

2. brand new, but unwrapped?

and for everyone else out there like me who needs more info on this..Here's the link

HKY GURU

2 S17's Max- yes, you may request grip, Sakic, Forberg, Lidstrom, Drury, Iginla

As for the helmet contest, I will go either or both directions, Posted here, or in the box info.

Hand-held games are for Companions in Courage Foundation mainly. Easiest for kids in hospitals.

Ho, Ho, Ho

-GURU-

I apologize for my stupidity in advance. By brand new, but unwrapped I assume that if you bought something that was sold in a box that you would just open it and put the item in the box you're shipping, correct?

I weep for the future.

So what do they mean by unwrapped? Why would something be wrapped unless you did it yourself? It just doesn't sound right to me.

Because during this time places will wrap your gifts in front of you after you buy them. They want the original boxing, they don't want the shitty wraping paper and they also don't want any of the "popcorn" foam stuff because it makes a mess.

The reason that places ask for gifts not to be wrapped for these type of charity toy drives is so that they can insure that all of the toys are safe and they haven't been tampered with in any way. With the number of kooks on the loose, they want to be sure that nothing inappropriate or dangerous is being sent.

So anything made in China is going to be rejected? I hear lead poisoning is a bitch.

S17's are at the LHS, I think they were $215 USD or so, oddly enough the old Stealths are $220...

Balance was pretty good, the taper zone seems pretty effective. I like 75 flex sticks, but the 100 flex felt like it had almost enough kick for me. Didn't seem to torque much either. It does look much better than the old Stealths too.

Well, you ARE getting a Chinese product back.

Jarick - for grip?

$300 at one of my LHS. Saw it a few minutes ago. I was really impressed to be honest. Liked the shaft shape (much better than the CNT in my eyes), liked the balance as well. Seemed to be well put together. That's about all you can tell without using it.

Anyone seen any in the Canadian LHS yet? Any price tag? Just curious. thanks

At my LHS, it was $239.99 for the non-grip. I'm pretty sure that the grip will be $249.99.

Saw some at TheHockeyShop today. Anybody know what's with the "sizing" marks at the top? The 5'8" etc... Are they Easton's suggested lengths for people of X height? (I saw the 5'8" mark and that mark probably wasn't 5'8" when leaned up straight)

I think it has to do with showing how much flex you are adding per inch when you are cutting it.

58" as in stick length.

It is absolutely perfect for me...I like a 90 flex. They are saying that the stick is 100 flex at a 58" length (since the shaft is longer, that means what it would be if you were to take out the end plug.)

This is why everyone said that Stealths and SEs felt whippier than what they were marked at. The testing was still done at standard height w/o endplug.

The stick was blue, so I think that'd be no grip. They had a red one but I didn't check it out.

Didn't seem to torque much either.

That's the point?

Very much so, and it seems like it would work! I'm really curious to see the new Mission Fuel Ti Pro and see if that spear shaft technology is similar for $50 less.
