Crosby's New Stick/skates

alright, I know no matter what I say, not one single person is going to believe this, I don't have a problem with it, because I don't guarantee that it's true either, but if it is, I'll have said it and look good for knowing it haha (kidding), well, basically, I live in montreal, couple weeks ago when the 9k came out at a store called frasiers in the westisland there was a rbk rep there to talk to people i guess (i didnt go, my friend went and spoke to him), this is how the conversation went:

friend: so whens the crosby stick coming (he meant to say "curve")

rep: are you talking about a stick or a curve

friend: uuuuh both (not knowing about a stick, but fishing for info)

rep: how the hell do you know about this?? (starting to get worried)

friend: its all over the internet (lying)

rep: are you kidding me?? no one is supposed to know about that, only the high ranked people at rbk know about it!

friend: hmm...

rep: is it seriously on the internet?

friend: no i was kidding, only the curve is

rep: okay thank god

and then my friend got some info out of the rep, and the rep said how their making a stick for crosby, i dont really understand what my friend meant, if he meant, its going ot be called "crosby" like the gretzky shaft, or if its modeled after crosbys sherwood stick so he can use an rbk stick that he likes, or if crosby is just helping design it, either way, the rep refered to it as "the crosby stick" and that its "not coming out for a looong time", whether that means for pros or retail i dont know. again, i'm asking no one to believe me, but if this ends up being true, then great.

I can't, the rep was the source of info, my friend got all the info he could have gotten though. I doubt if he knew he'd be allowed to say, but the only way I or anyone else could found out more would be from JR or anyone else who has some inside scoop, again, I'm not asking anyone to believe me, just remember I said it if it's true.

I did too - I had heard they are going to make a specific stick for Crosby at some point.

But like I said before, they jumped the gun on the pattern, and asked us to scratch it off the catalogue.

havok, you may as well try, but remember, my friend got the info because he was clever...all i can say is, be clever. and I'm glad to see jimmy and JR heard it too and i dont look like a huge ass haha.

I wasn't clever. I just asked my source when Crosby was going to have a RBK stick and he told me. :) You know, we may think they don't want this info released but we are just pawns in their twisted games. :P

they wouldnt have said anything at all if they were really supposed to be 'super secret' with it. its not hard for RBK to figure out what rep was at that store that day and can his ass.

i dont know, who cares, either way, it would be cool if crosby was using this stick right off the bat, it would catch everryyooone by surprise, even the few of us who know of the stick.

by the way, i was going to make this a new thread but i didn't think it was legit enough to have it's own thread and figured it would be locked immediatly.

Perhaps Sid uses RBK sticks for promotional purposes at camps like this?

One of the LHS managers here said that RBK is NOT going to have a crosby curve this year. Shame on me for not searching every thread if that is common knowledge, but is this correct?

All of the top end Vectors were painted in the team colors of the endorsing player. What makes you think something like that won't happen this year?

there's also a big rbk vector in the middle so it's definitely different, i'm not saying it's not a sickick but if it is, it's a new model/new graphics.

Pics are up on the Penguins website with Sidney Crosby making a surprise visit at a hockey summer camp and he has a Rbk stick, the stick looks like it is black and gold like the Penguins colors anyone know if RBK is coming out with a new stick, it is definitely not an O-stick and doesnt look like the 7k sick kick

The pictures are not detailed, but I would have to agree it looks more like a shaft than an OPS
