Call Hockeytown Authentics. They should have 9kOs, don't know how many, but they might have them.

All new were $120 for any stick last time I was there (they didn't have new Datsyuks though)

You only pay through the ass if they're game used.

They've only got game-used stuff there now. I was there two weeks ago, and they hadn't gotten any stock in. It might be a good idea to check things out around the 1st of October as training camp and the exhibition season will have ended, and I'd imagine that they'll try to sell some Grigorenko sticks, game-used RBK gloves (Reebok seems to have more or less owned the Wings' camp as far as equipment representation is concerned, followed by NikeBau...Adida...whatever the heck Bauer is going to be), that kind of thing, and you might be able to get some deals as everybody and their brother was using a 9KO or the new SickKick stick. I wouldn't be surprised if a few lefties gave Pavel or Flip's (Filppula's) sticks a spin.

Hockeytown Authentics is (248)680-0965...HA prices their sticks by player, not by how much each stick is used or unused. Every Datsyuk stick should be in the $350-$450 price range.

i just got back from hockeytown authentics yesterday, after visiting the troy sports plex or whatever it's called. There were 3 of them, one of the 9ko's were 175. They also had a Hatcher M1, 3 SALMING OPS, and i believe a RBK Sickick.

They price game-used by player. Unused are a flat price.

I still kick myself for passing up the Kronwall polarfibre dolomite for $50.

The Samuelsson sticks are very interesting...he has five different patterns, and three are illegal...

The Datsyuk sticks there have a few different flexes as well.

The Hatcher stick...unbelievable. Huge, long stick with a wee blade. Almost as odd as Markov's stick, which has a straight blade until 2 inches before the end, where it twists forward at a 45-degree angle...

And if they were prep-ed by Dats, expect it to be cut down really short. It's a half 9K, half woodie! hah

The most recent ones I saw were open shaft at the top.

I think he meant... Dats uses a really short stick, so he cuts it down fairly short. By the time you put an insert in and get it to a useable length, it'll be "half 9K, half woodie". :D

Nah, Dats used to cut if down quite a bit and use a rather large plug to balance out the stick. Not sure if he still does it though. *shrug*

I dont know, maybe he decided to not cut the stick but put a roll of quarters to balance damn thing out.

You may be right with the plug.

I have one of Datsyuk´s old CCM Vector130´s and in that one there is no woodplug. It is really short though...

He might use a plug in the 9k0 if it´s more bladeheavy i guess.

He has also changed the pattern or at least the shape since he used the CCM-stick because that blad is longer and not as round at the toe.

This is my first post by the way. Hi everyone...

He's always used a long tape job, nothing new there.

I saw game used, pine-tarred 9KO sticks in Hockeytown Authentics from both Datsyuk and Filppula and both were open at the top with the grip intact. Datsyuk's grip was actually undone quite a bit, so he may have removed a weight or something.

The 9K posted above has cloth tape at the end of the grip made of grip tape. That may be something there, it looks like more than necessary to hold the bottom of the grip on, though it looks like there's something similar on the V130 and the Si-Core.

Franzen's used sticks (not the Franzen sticks that Zetterberg used) had the whole grip almost removed on every stick I've seen of his, I have no idea why that would be unless he's got something in the grip he wants to keep.
