I don't get the News anymore...what was the relevance to the topic? Anyway, I don't care one bit if any of my teammates are gay, as long as they pass me the puck once in awhile (same goes for anyone on my team :) )

Since the OP was about gay hockey, and THN's player poll said a great majority of polled players wouldn't mind playing with an openly gay teammate, I thought it might be appropriate to ask the same of MSHers.

Gay or not shouldn't matter....unless the other teammamtes make a big deal out of it, or if the person in question is doing things to make the other teammates uncomfortable in the situation. As long as he wouldn't be attempting to "get closer" to myself or anyone else on the team.....I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I agree. I am sure there are alot of gay people you already play against or with and don't even know it. Gay, Straight...who cares as long as the play the game, don't invade your space and are a good person.

What a breath of fresh air this is, to be fair i posted this because I couldn't believe that there was a web site dedictaed entirely to this. I also posted it on a UK website as well and had 1 individual who suggested they kicked me off the forum, then the topic was deleted because i reacted to that suggestion so i re-posted it again and had it taken off by another moderator.

Did anybody ever stop to think that gay people just do not run up to every person of their gender to see if they want to have sex with them? No matter what you guys are thinking, you just don't run up to every woman you see and say "You're hot, let's have sex." Gay people will seek out their own. They are not interested in converting everyone to their team.

The two topics you posted about this were deleted because along with the mods and quite a few other members, we did not believe it had a place on the forum.

My point was that people are quite within their rights to go looking for anything they want, whether it is gay hockey players or not. If people want to see things like this they can quite easily look it up, but others would have no interest in this, do not want it plastered in front of them.

The other point, what you are linking to is American Hockey, not Scottish Hockey.

And that was because all you have done since you joined the forum was go on about homosexuality, not once have you spoken about Scottish Ice Hockey.

As with any PUBLIC FORUM.....yes, you can talk about anything you want....within reason. As long as it is not offensive or a topic that could potentially rub people the wrong way, you won't get it locked. Luckily, there are MODS out there to police these types of activities.

The thread on here is reasonable, but if you use the search function you will find that the topic has been discussed about a half dozen times.
