Sven 1 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 Does this guy have a vid as well? I want to see this guy then! When this Victor guy right here started skating, it looked so unreal (in a positive way).
ronnychencharik 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 He skates good, but it was making me laugh how hard they were trying to sell the video.

t-bone 1 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 Ok, so Stamm, Glantz etc. always preach complete recovery after each stride - almost clicking heals together. They would say that this guy is 'tracking wide' (i think that is the term). So who is right? Sure can't call this guy a bad skater.
booyaagrandma 4 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 Ehh..........a whole bunch of drills I did growing up.If you can skate like this guy you should be selling videos too ;) ( heh,heh ) But seriously,I had a skating coach once say that once you learn the fundamentals that most skaters will inevitably develop their own 'style'.I can see some truth to that 'cause if its getting the job done who's to say just because a skater is not 'by the book ' technically correct ,that hes wrong ? chippa13 1844 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 Ehh..........a whole bunch of drills I did growing up.Yeah I wasn't that impressed eiether.Don't get me wrong, they're good skating drills but they aren't anything so out of the norm you'd have to drop a bunch of cash for the video. booyaagrandma 4 Report post Posted September 28, 2007 Yep ,I'd sooner see someone spend the cash on one on one lessons with a good coach ( like ole' Victor there ).He sure did turn up the 'wow' factor with this clip though. makes it a lot of fun to watch a damn good skater do his thing.I love Youtube. The guy presenting it is such a 'ham' ,funny.
shifter 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2007 this guy is cutting and shredding the ice like no tomorrow pretty crazy witht he turns. The funny of this video was when he was saying about your butt getting as low as you can lol.
Kevin 5 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 He has great body control and can change direction on a dime, but he is not the smoothest skater. He does not appear to get full extension on every stride. He is definitely a quick skater, but his style would likely limit his top speed. By smooth I mean S. Niedermeyer, classic Coffey, Fedorov in his prime, and very few others.quote name='TBLfan' date='Sep 26 2007, 11:28 PM' post='478556']Ok, so Stamm, Glantz etc. always preach complete recovery after each stride - almost clicking heals together.
