shifter 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 just curious but, do you think weight matters?
quasi 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Between the high-end OPS, weight is a non-issue, at least to me. Balance, feel, and durability are MUCH more important. You're not going to notice an extra 20 or 30 grams on the ice.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted November 22, 2007 I think the balance on the XXXX is much better than the XXXlite. Like certain parts of my ex, it feels great in your hands.

wetwilly17 6 Report post Posted November 26, 2007 finally looked at the xxxx's today at my lhs. they felt very well balanced and i didn't notice a significant difference in weight between the xxx lite and xxxx. one thing i was really happy about was the new blade. i am very tough on my blades (face offs and battles along the boards). most my sticks fail because the blades delaminate from the toe inward or from internal delamination (unless i use a warrior). its one reason i like warrior sticks because the blades have lasted longer for me - maybe because of the composite fiber patttern. since the xxxx has a similar fiber pattern (some of you call it 'checkerboard') i am hoping the blade will be more durable than on the xxx lite (what i'm currently using). what do you guess think of this? have you noticed the checkerboard patterned fiber is a more durable blade than the tradition composite pattern? Edge 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2007 I'm pretty rough on sticks, and its lasted me about 3 weeks with no breakage or signs of breakage. Wow. I really liked the stick it was solid. Puck feel was very good for me and the blade stays nice and stiff even with playing every day. Unfortunately for it though, I just picked up an S17 and I think I'll stick with that for a while.
