Any of you Manila guys play ice? I've been thinking about going to play over there.

tsiarls79 started out on inline and now plays ice. If you do head over, let us know so we can set up games for you in advance. Attendance is peak when there is a tourney abroad then drops down right after. We have some European, Canadian, and American players that are very good when they show up for games. You'll understand when you get to Manila and we take you around (hope I'm there for it though).

_HSB_b345t you've been HSB longer, im like a freshman there, i'd say your stories are jucier so raygunpk will be counting on ya

So many to choose from.. ok, highlights of some of my favorites in which Roach and I had a hand in getting the person in question drunk:

- we told the band playing at our favorite drinking spot (Padi's Point FTW) that Jay was crazy skilled on the drums, so we got him to strip down to his boxers, get up on stage and play.

- we got Ian, a young kid we played with, trashed and while walking back to the car to take his loud, obnoxious and visciously intoxicated ass home, he decides it was a smoking hot idea to drop trough and moon the cops driving by.

- I can't remember who it was exactly, but we got someone to get into the fountain they had at Padi's and dance around in it.

- we fed Byron, a very large and very sweaty Chinese guy with a heart of gold and no tolerance for alcohol, a bunch of drinks one night and he proceeded to tell me at least 20 times "dude, bob, i love you, dude."

and my favorite:

- The night of my going away party, we, like any other self-respecting group of hockey players, decide to get annihilated. Several hours into the melee, we notice Roach is nowhere to be found. I go upstairs to see if he's there. Sure enough, at the top of the stairs (actually, not quite the top -- it looked like he didn't quite make the last step) about 10 feet from the bathroom door, there's Mr. Garrucho.. face down, beer in one hand, cigarette in the other, passed out cold lying next to a puddle of his own making.

At MY party, we got Mr. Iron-nuts-never-give-up-on-any-drink-you-couldn't-get-me-under-the-table-even-with-500-horses passed out drunk! :o

Only time in my life I've ever seen, or heard of actually, Roach that done. B)

Pure gold.

Didn't know Roach got down like that.

He showed up to Detroit armed with San Miguel. We went drinking, but it was quite tame compared to those stories I'm hearing...

Kinda sounds like warrior37 at the MSH Skate with his carafe of Paul Masson. :ph34r:

Mr. Irong-nuts-never-give-up-on-any-drink-you-couldn't-get-me-under-the-table-even-with-500-horses passed out drunk?!? Da fuck you talking about?!? You forgot to mention that it was your "going away for good to Sacramento party" and you had house rules which the only 2 were "Roach, you drink more than everybody put together here, so you gotta down at least a case of beer tonight for me" and when I asked if there was anything else under the sun that you wanted, you replied with "Oh, house rule #2 is that every time you pop open a bottle, you gotta toast 'Here's to Bobby' and you gotta chug that @#$! til there's nuthin left and that's every time with every bottle. I fraggin finished the case in less than an hour and a half because every moron in the party noticed and was walking up to me saying "Hey, Roach, you don't got no more beer." Hell yeah, I passed out upstairs! All o'you numb nuts, after letting me sleep a good 4 hours decided to gather a semi-circle around me to check if I was alive until good'ol JR (Torio not Boucicaut) kicked me in the foot repeatedly til I came about and mouthed off "Hey, @#$!-f'er sleeping beauty, wake up! We're drunk so drive the f@#$! of us home!" ...In hindsight, those were the days, eh?

Detroit was tame, JR. Mind you, that was after a 14 hour flight, 2 hours to the hotel, an hour and a half to freshen up til you showed up downstairs. Then a whole afternoon of hockey shopping (thank you very much!) then straight to the 1st bar ("Where's the rest of the band?") then consecutive Jager bombs after you said something to the effect of, "I dunno 'bout these Filipino's and dem drinks". Next time I show up, I'm having HSB (Bobby) drive or fly down and we are gonna have ourselves a serious party!!!

...Bob, I can handle the cops in Manila. Don't do anything we'd normally do and get the DPD Eric & Jordan Staal welcoming us with open arms.

JR, and we gotta get us some ice time when I next make it over. Nothing beats playing then getting blasted right after!

TomMc#4, what team do you play for?

UK and hoping to play in the BUIHA

Play for Northumbria. Hopefully we will enter a team in division 1 this season because i feel playing in div 2 again will hinder my development(after scoring 16 goals and 16 assists in 9 games last season). i guess you will be playing for Edinburgh then?

How competitive is this league? equivalent to US college? semi pro? high school?
