They must do some pretty serious editing in order to put something like "Police Truck" in the game, i may have to try one of these out the scores are terrific

I'm afraid that the fact I already know how to play most of those songs will hurt me.

I don't play guitar, and haven't really taken a crack at any of the GH's yet...but i saw Slash on Conan the other night, and he said that any guitar player will find GH more difficult than you would think. And that he sucks at it.

So i guess if Slash sucks at GH, you shouldnt feel that bad? :lol:

Throwing down some of the old GNR or Velvet Revolver stuff isn't that easy either. I haven't been playing as much as I'd like lately so that stuff can get a bit hairy for me.

I find Guitar Hero to be ridiculously frustrating. I'm typically very gifted where hand/eye coordination and timing are concerned - Guitar Hero being the exception. I suck. The fact that Slash sucks doesn't make me feel any better, though, since he's a fucking millionaire and I'm...not.

im almost finished on hard...i cant see myself moving up to expert anytime soon..the pisser is that i can play half these songs on normal guitar. Is there a trick or something for expert or do you have to spend countless hours practicing??

Nah, its just learning how to use star power to hack your way through the solos... I've finished the first game on expert, but I would have failed the whole second half of the game on the solos without using it.

I wish they'd make a Guitar Hero Gothenburg edition with (more) In Flames, At the Gates, Soilwork, The Duskfall, Children of Bodom....or just a metal version in general.

Agreed might help that my favorite bands are soilwork and in flames but it would be nice to have more of them on there

See, that's what bugs me about Guitar Hero. I LOVE playing on medium because I can get 99%+ every time and it's so fun. Hard is fun because I can usually get 90%+, but it's not fun to play some of the solos on hard or the songs on expert because you really struggle through that stuff and you just try to use star power to not fail. I don't enjoy not being able to play the song. Haha. God help those people who can get 99%+ on expert. Whoa.

I have found gh3 is a lot easier to hit notes on than number 2. Eazy: The only way I can ever beat the battles on expert is by drowning them early in the solo. you'll essenstially need to get every gem, and time it so they cant get their's

By far my favorite out of all the Guitar Hero's. I'm stuck with 3 songs left on expert. I did manage to beat Through The Fire and Flames on hard though.

My roommate got Rock Band. I heard the guitars are compatible, but I can't verify that. I've never played GH3, so I'm basing everything off of GH1 and 2. Can't imagine 3 would be that much different.

I was considering asking for rock band for christmas...but as a drummer, I can't see myself enjoying the 4 identical pads and no cybals as my kit. I'm starting to lean towards a new phone.

Anything really different about the game other than the addition of the drums and vocals?

Not really. Rock Band is made from the original creators of Guitar Hero before it was sold.

Guitar Hero's Guitar is better than Rock Bands, but the game is fun with friends since you can play three different instruments and sing at the same time. My roomate has both so I guess I lucked out.

Im extremely dissapointed with the new guitar hero, not nearly enough actually good music ( maybe5-6 songs). The song iw as lookin forward too on it got completly botched (Pride and Joy by SRV). half of the music on the game sucks, only a handful of the bands are actual rock legends. The worst part is there was no fuckin Hendrix, and theyve got all these douchebag bands like DragonForce and Slipknot that arent even rock.

wow, totally agree with you on that last sentence. Although... I have a pretty big chunk of songs i love in that game like, Slow Ride, Paranoid, Seeker, Bulls On Parade, Welcome to the Jungle, Cliffs of Dover, Mississippi Queen, One, Knights of Cydonia and Cult Of Personality

I love playing the dragonforce song. It's pretty challenging even on easy. I'm not a fan of the selection of regular songs i tend to play the songs you can buy instead. It's more of the music i like actually.
