What do you do in the off-season?

Recommended Posts

Run, lift, bike. Mountain biking is a great adrenaline rush and great workout. My new favorite "sport" though would have to be kitesurfing. Probably the most fun thing ever, and a great workout, though you don't notice it until the next day...

I play roller, drop-in ice, and track (distance running). Track isn't really a sport but is great for cardio and endurance for hockey.

I plat a lot of Fastpitch about 4 times a week, some golf whenever possible, and a lot of drinking, but if I stop drinking I get the shakes, and everybody hates a quitter!

Still play ice, but only once a week during the summer.

I'll also put about 3,000 miles on my bicycle and end up playing softball once a week.

I played summer hockey for a year and got sick of it, stuck to playing baseball and lacrosse along with weightlifting and running. My friend's and I play a lot of backyard football and basketball during the summer, so it's pretty good for keeping in shape.

I play inline (all year round), field hockey (all year round) and indoor soccer in the summer. I run around 2-3 times a week and work out every second day. I want to start b-ball as well.

i play outdoor roller so there isn't really an off-season. i can always go to the park and skate in the freezing cold or scortching heat. i hopefully won't get sick of hockey and want to play another (inferior, heh) sport.

other than the 1-2 times a week i can sneak out to skate i have a family to feed.
