We sell it in our stores.

Best clear made. Doesn't make a damn sound off the roll.

Yea I use the stuff and love it. To me it seems like clear electrical tape.

andover tape in general is hard to find. I buy all my tape from EWH... The sad thing is whenever I run out of tape I end up buying a stick or something too.

I dont use clear tape but their cloth tape is amazing. Their friction tape isn't sticky enough to stay on the blade without hitting it with a hair dryer(to melt the glue) but it's definitely better quality than that renfrew crap. I only use refrew as a base layer in making knobs on my stick because it's readily available.

I actually prefer renfrew to a few of the other brands I've tried for grips and knobs. I like that it doesn't leave a sticky residue on the top layer. I prefer the classic style of a larger knob and spun tape for a grip surface. The renfrew does loose the edge easily, but it tears well. Come to think of it, the beginning of a new roll never seems like it's on the roll and easily unrolls.

Maybe it's time to try something new. I've tried jaybird and that's so much worse. A few other brands have shown up in my bag but I can't recall any of them, but the local stores only sell jaybird and renfrew on a regular basis.

It's good to know that when I ask to borrow a roll of tape in the locker room and refuse to use jaybird that I'm not the only freak that refuses a certain brand!

I've seen some guys' grips and I wonder how the thing doesn't get pulled out of their hands.

i have the Andover line out West- the Clear is by and far the best- strteches and sticks great. the Cloth is sweet because of the way the adhesive is applied versus the competition which presses the adhesive to the cloth ( separates easily ). our rolls dont suffer from " coning " -- where the center of the roll droops into the shape of a cone.

That is slightly annoying but a couple applications of baby powder solves the issue. The quality is just soo much better that it's worth the extra effort to me. And believe me I'm picky about certain things, at this point I won't use any tape for a top layer besides andover and I wont use any other wax lace other than graf.

I just did up two sticks, one with Andover for the grip, one with Renfrew. My assumption is that Renfrew feels more like cloth and has less adhesive, so it will be better for the grip. The Andover feels more like sandpaper and has more adhesive, so it's better for the blade.

Sorry for the off-topic, but it strayed that way. I only have one roll of clear, I think it's Renfrew, I actually like it quite a bit, but I barely use it.

Howie's is having a sale. Box of 30 tapes ranging from $41-50 depending on what mix you choose. Helluva deal, looks like today only (Monday 26th Nov)

Plus a free skate stone, I've been meaning to get one of those.

Just over a buck a tape, still less than $2 after shipping. A lot better than $3-3.50 per roll that I'm paying at the LHS. I emailed asking if I can get a mixed case of friction clear black and white. If I don't hear back, I'll order a case tonight.

The few LHS's around me sell either Andover or Renfrew, and I by far prefer Andover. I just can't stand that little string effect you get along the edge of the tape leaving a frayed edge that you see with Renfrew.

Emailed Howie and he got back to me very quickly. Got my custom box of 5 friction, 5 clear and 10 black/10 white for the price of a mixed black/white 15/15 box.

Pretty outstanding customer service, and he's in Grand Rapids, a former Calvin College ACHA player.

I'll be sure to put up a review in the misc. section after I go through a roll or two.

My LHS around the greater vancouver area sell Lowry which i prefer. It comes off easy, doesn't fray and is pretty durable.

What renfrew tape did you use. Jimmy has mentioned to me that the one with the gold (inside) label is a lot better than the more popular one with the blue label.

I have used renfrew. I have used the black with gold lettering on the inside which is waayyyy better than the blue if that is what you're talking about?
