Hanging onto all of their Big Three is killing them the longer they maintain to do so. Frodo, Chompers or Vinny, one of them has to go for some cap relief/prospects.

The Caps are doing fine considering the lackluster defense(very solid goaltending) and a few VERY talented forwards and not a horrible supporting cast. Tampa has a very solid defense, at times, and crappy goaltending(namely Holmqvist)... The offense, well you know. Mainly, I blame the coaching. With that much talent you cannot have these players not busting their asses to put the puck in the net and to keep it out of our net.

On paper and even when you watch them 70% of the time the Lightning are one of the strongest teams in the East... That other 30% they are probably the worse in the East. Tortorella is not helping by switching up the lines constantly whenever the team starts a downslide and Richards will never be consistent with points unless you keep his line consistent.
