Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted December 9, 2007 So that you cant see it early.Didn't they unveil the car two months ago?Wasn't that at the Detroit Auto Show....just labeled as a "prototype"....aka Pre-Production model.
bdj 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2007 They are doing the same with the new trucks 2009 F150 and 2009 Rams. It's just to be able to test out the new front clips and trucks without letting the public see. I've seen the actual covers before they are very thin and almost web like. Rustpot 1 Report post Posted December 10, 2007 a real carhttp://www.moddedmustangs.com/more-2010-fo...spy-photos.htmlI hope you were joking. Ford only makes the Mustang because it sells. Carol Shelby even jumped ship for future models. He's appalled at what they've done with the name.Don't start quoting numbers and track times, those mean squat. Mustang interiors are so cheap and ugly, and the cars themselves perform so inefficiently. The only thing it has in its favor is price (for base models, only God knows why suckers buy the 'upgraded' shit), and we all know it's such a thrill to drive the same car half the trailer park down the street owns :PMules are covered for more reasons than not wanting the public to see the new design. Most of the time they're ugly as shit underneath, unpainted panels, electronics ziptied in since they don't know exactly how the mount will work, the exact fender flare is still in clay or some other formable material (they drive it around town with a weak body to see where it breaks, if fasteners are in the right spot, etc). New cars that are retakes on the previous year's model will often have the old component cheaply modified to be the new piece since it costs less than running a line of hoods, just to scrap them after noticing the new shape needs to be tweaked.
