Pro stock AK-27 shafts

Recommended Posts

Odds are there will be a problem. After today's brief and expletive-laden talk with HM today I think I am ass-out of some shafts. Fuck them, fuck UPS.

HM gave you the SOL speach about it being UPS' problem and UPS telling you it is HM? And then lo and behold we have one unhappy Alaskan who shelled out bucks for nothing in return. Am I pretty much getting the gist of the conversation/explative exchange?

Basically, but I don't know which one's screwing me or if they're both doing it in a lambroast. Shafts never showed up, so I called HM per the paperwork inside the package. Nothing about keeping a box, which looked "normal." HM says they shipped the shafts out, file a claim with UPS. Per UPS it's denied because I don't have the box. Either way I'm screwed and no one's taking responsibility for an order being messed up.

Do you have any kind of buyer protection from your credit card company (assuming that's how you paid)? Not that going round and round with them would be any more fun than HM and UPS, but it may yield something.

It's funny that you say that, I thought about that after I had posted that and tried to call HM back again. Got someone's voicemail and said "I never heard back, I just want an update from someone because otherwise my bank will be getting in touch with you guys and taking it from here." Not two minutes later my phone's ringing and it's HM saying their GM is talking to their UPS rep today. I'm still going to check with my bank though as it'll save me a little headache if they take over the fight from here.

Last time I had a mess like this was from Best Buy and their online shop and Bank of America took care of that real quick, so hopefully this would work as well.

Mack, if HM doesn't cooperate, dispute the charges with your bank (credit card company). All they'll need is a signed letter from you claiming that you didn't receive the goods or services for which you were charged. HM will be forced to either credit your credit card account or re-send you the shafts. The only way HM can deny your claim would be to provide proof (from UPS) that the merchandise was delivered (without actually admitting to fault, you'll find out which company really, truly is at fault). PM me if you have any questions.

Seriously, that pisses me off and it's not even happening to me. I freaking got my missing shaft without having to talk once to UPS. I used the box to ship clark12 one of my buddy's dolos he didn't want. I didn't even talk to HM after they told me they were filing a claim with UPS. What makes less sense is that this was all done on my buddy's card and to his address, it's not like they knew I was a return customer. How can they treat one claim soo differently from another? That pisses me off.

badsk8ter-

Thanks for the heads up and you may just hear from me. I gave them the last benefit of the doubt today and never heard back from them, so their standard operating procedure is tell you someone will call you and get you off their back for the day.

TBL-

I have no idea or clue why it's become trench warfare over this claim. Maybe it's because it's a few shafts I'm missing and they smell scam, but given the substantial order I had why would I try and scam for more on top of that? I'm done with reasoning I guess and it's time for the hounds.

Maybe the CSRs are members here and you bitch-slapped them one too many times ?

Seriously, for whatever reason your initial complaint may have been flagged and that might have determined how your case was handled from thereon.

I wouldn't even waste time with HM anymore. As was suggested, I'd call my credit card company ASAP (not sure when you placed your order, but there is usually a limit). To make things easier on the initial call, I'd make sure I have all my documentation at hand. They will send you something to sign. Every time I have had a dispute with a charge, the process has always been painless, and is one of the reasons I prefer to use my credit card for purchases - I just don't trust Paypal or Google to stand by me when the chips fall.

I got my nipple grip AK today... holy boxy. I like it though.

Shoved a blade in mine today, taped it up... I'm not really feeling it.... I'll give it more a go this weekend, but if anyone prefers the boxy shaft shape in a 260 flex (grip) and has a more concave shape in the same flex from the 'Monkey.. PM me if you'd like to swap

Praise Allah it's over. Of course it couldn't go off without any kind of positive hitch, but HM is going to go ahead and ship me shafts out although they don't have any AK27s in my flex. WTF ordered up 160s and 180s than me? Didn't see that coming. Anyway, I'm getting a couple 260 AK27 grips that will more than likely see the Sell section.

If you might be interested in a 265(260 written on shaft) dolo clear, I wouldn't be opposed to a trade... glad this is FINALLY getting resolved.

The 260 is supposed to be 90 but both mine feel like 85ish. The clear hasnt been used but I'm sure it will feel 80ish after a couple uses.

TBL-

Thank you, but I think that'd be too whippy for me. My brother will be getting a 300 PF Dolo but he hates the PF so I'll see if anyone wants to take that one as well.

Lego-

Yup. After I heard the flex options and questioned that the stiff flexes were all gone, I asked if I could get a refund or even credit. Even then, the refund wouldn't help that much because if I did order any shafts (from anywhere) it'd end up costing me more.

Yeah *knock on wood* when I get them. The lady said these would be going out USPS and normally I'd feel safer but I've got some hiking boots shipped USPS that I'm still waiting on so I'm not holding my breath. I just need to only shop when I'm stateside.

Guys who ordered Polar Fibers Dolos, how have they held up? What about your bro's Mack? Did it shatter during the first tape job like you predicted?

srv-

It's held up much to my disbelief but it does look like crap, which is of course no concern but I mean it's a beast now and you can barely make out the make/model.

Do these pro stock Dolos seem whippier than retail?

I flexed a 320 yesterday and it felt like about a 75 flex, slightly stiffer than my VERY well broken in 75 flex L-2's. I'm wondering if I should spring for the 85 flex retail over one of these.

Be careful if you do - my retail Dolo was marked 85 flex on the outside, but 300 flex on the inside (making it closer to 75 flex).

I thought the 300 flex was supposed to be 85 flex on the Easton scale? At least according to the Hockey Monkey chart.

Why would anyone go off their chart?

I thought maybe Warrior gave it to them so it's "official".

What's the Inno flex of a retail Dolomite labeled 85, 280?

I ordered 2 from them. Very strange, when I got them and tried to put a blade in, I realized the shafts were not even tapered! Has anyone ever heard of this? I have since exchanged them for some 240 flex with the nipple grip (only thing left in stock - not too excited.) Hopefully those will be okay. P.s. has anyone used the nipple grip? I hope it doesn't feel too rubbery...is it like a clear, but textured?

I really enjoyed how the cs people at hockeymonkey treated me like an idiot..."are you sure you're not using a jr. blade?" ... Then they expected me to be excited when they said they would waive the restocking fee. Great! Considering they sent me a useless product that was not as described. I'm not even going to attempt to get reimbursed for the return shipping cost of $17USD.

I think MSH members should boycott hockeymonkey.com
