BEST Skates For Narrow Feet?

Recommended Posts

For Christmas, my parents are going to buy me new skates. I was wondering what are the best skates for NARROW feet? I'm a 6D. I live in Toronto, and recently visited Pro Hockey Life (HUUUGE). I asked them the same question. They said either the Nike Bauer One90s or the Easton S15. What's your take? Also, I heard for the One90 skates, theyre a 1/2 size smaller than your NORMAL skate size. So in this case, I'd be a 5.5D with a One90. True or false? And for anyone living in Toronto; do you know anywhere to get equipment for cheaper?

If they said an S15 is a good choice for a narrow skate you need to go to another shop. Since it sounds like you just want a model and size to order online, I'm not going to help you any more than that.

LOOOL.

Which skates did you try on while you were at Pro Hockey?

I was going to try on some skates, but they were closing =/.

If you have REALLY narrow feet, try on a pair of Mission 120XP or 110XP. They were, by far, the narrowest skates I've ever tried on. BY FAR. I have pretty wide feet and I could still get my feet into a pair of One90's and not complain.

And yeah, Eastons are not made for narrow feet. They're more for normal feet (not too big, but not too small all over).

"Easton" and "narrow" don't go together unless the words "is the antonym of" are between them.

Vapors run narrow, as do the Graf 703s (G3s, G3 Ultras).

Which Vapors? Nike Bauer Vapors? Or just Bauer Vapors?

It's ignorance. We're being over-run by it. There have been a few posts (more than normal) lately which have made me wish there were a firearm in my house.

Yeah, i was going to say that I remember Nike skates are cut particularly narrow. You should get fitted properly at a reputable pro shop in Toronto. There must be a zillion. I am sure that someone can help you with finding a good one. Anyone?

I was being sarcastic, I think they are the widest skate ever. I have very narrow feet and One90 C, XXX D, and G3 R all fit my foot relatively well.

There's no such thing as a Bauer Vapor. Just Nike-Bauer Vapors.

And TBL is right, Easton's are seldom described as "narrow".

So with the hopes that you're not using this to buy online, you'll want to ask for these when you go back to the shop:

Graf 703s, G3s

N/B Vapors, One90s (but not necessarily the Supreme line in general)

and Mission

Actually Bauer made the Vapor line before Nike bought them. I used to have a pair of Bauer Vapor 2's. If I remember correctly, the old line of Bauer Vapors is cut more narrow than the NBH Vapors. So the question is valid.

If you can find a pair of old Vapors or old Nikes on clearance or on ebay, these should run more narrow than the current line of NBH skates.

Feel free to bust me if I am wrong on this! :)

Good to know.

The OP might also want to try a pair of Tacks as well too if they're in stock. For some reason they've fit my "narrow" feet okay.

the 703's are a standard arch and forefoot just a narrow heel

Try on a pair of Graf 703 or 735 in narrow width. I've got narrow feet too and the only skates that really felt good on me were one90s in C width and the Grafs. I think there is a place called "Goalie Heaven" in Toronto that carries a good selection of Grafs.

CCM Pro Tacks in a c-width works very well for me...try on as many different makes/models as possible.

I got Vector 10s in a C width. The heel is still standart width. Wish it was narrower (like older Bauers). Otherwise they fit great
