McDougalfaschnitzer 32 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 I was thinking about a custom pair of one95s. Part of me just wants to get a standard pair so I can have it sooner. Just have to wait for a pair to try on. I doubt there is any list available at the moment for what kind of options besides sizing, but was there anything for the ONE90? I think as much as I love my 8090s, I need to get a new skate.

I choose not to mark that up, however a lot of shops do, so take that price quote with a grain of salt.

shooter27 117 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 I've been thinking about getting a pair of customs, particularly because I have an odd size foot (approx a 9-3/4). There are a couple places online that seem to be willing to do custom skates without actually having me come in in person. My question is, am I better off going to a LHS and having them fit me for customs or will these online places do a decent job? Thanks.

How else can you get a (truly) custom fit pair of skates??

You still have to put work into the skates. So, as a e-tailer, would I take my chances on having the person mis-fitting themselves then blame me when their skates don't come out right? No...I'm measuring them myself - peace of mind.

colin97 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 Would it be possible to get a custom pair One75's? Or does it have to be a top of the line skate, cuz i wont be able to afford that.
qmechanic 17 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 Would it be possible to get a custom pair One75's? Or does it have to be a top of the line skate, cuz i wont be able to afford that.I talked to my local hockey store and they said that NBH only does custom top-of-the-line skates. Also, if you buy a custom junior skate, you get charged the senior price.

Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 by any chance would bauer sell me a custom boot with no holder or holes drilled to be used for roller hockeyThere's at least one guy on the board who, for medical reasons related to his foot mechanics, had to have Cobra holders installed on his custom Bauer skates. I *believe* Bauer left them undrilled for the LHS to install the holders.Basically, unless you've got a really good reason or a professional equipment managed acting on your behalf, it's a hard sell.
