Stampeder 2 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Ares is the bomb. I highly suggest you Dl that. No, thats not even that good. Kazaa was the only good thing, because there were 924353494 people using it. All the little programs have very little sources.Edit- And Napster was good too. If iTunes store worked in Canada I'd be all over that shit.
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I've heard Lime Wire is good. AS many hits as KaZaA used to have, but no spyware/3rd party crap.I was told it was actually recommended by a Computer guy on a Tech Talk show in Toronto.www.limewire.com

J-Shera 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I use Kazaa Lite, its starting to suck now. Some of the songs have that annoying screaching noise in them.
sweetblazer 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 get limewire it is amazing all the songs have amazingly good sound (no screaching like kazaa) and as said before there is no spyware/adware and no pop-ups like kazaa.
bdj 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Those are all garbage. The only good one I have come across is winmx. It's the best out there hands down, if anybody disagree's, it's because they dont know how to use it. Download it and learn how to use it and it will be the best you've used, pay no attention to anybody that says it wont be. I will have to agree with buzz though, audiogalaxy was the best program ever out there before you had to pay.
D-MaN88 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 For those who use limwire, after you download songs and say have to leave and disconnect, when you get back on where do you go to find the songs you have already downloaded? ThanksD-MaN88
Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 It's in a folder under "Program files, limewire" You can change the target directory in the options. Or you could just search for *.mp3
mack 44 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Don't you have to clear all the files to another one so, uh, people don't track it to you?Plus I think they have a back-up file that has all the d/ls of the user. I guess you can just delete that.
tyler33 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Hey guys, I have kazaa right now, and its ok I guess. But a lot of the songs always have that screetch in them and theres quite a bit of pop ups even though I have a pop up blocker. How is limewire? One of my friends has it and said its great but Id like some more info on it. On limewire if you download a song, do you have to dissconect from it then reconnect? Also would you say limewire is easier to figure out and not to confusing than kazaa? Thanks.Edit-- one more question, hows the speed of downloading compared to kazaa? Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I like it, but it's sometimes hard to find stuff I'm looking for. I usually look for live bootlegs and things like that.
tyler33 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I downloaded limewire a bit ago and I just downloaded a couple of songs and I don't like it that much. None of them had the screetching in them like kazaa but most of them wasn't the whole song, it would just cut off. Plus theres nothing that sorts out the audio, vidio, images and all that like kazaa. I think I'm gonna remove it, and take bigdogjakes word and get winmx. Hopefully this will be better than limewire and wont have the screetching like almost all the new songs on kazaa. Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Actually all you have to do is select audio or video and it only searches for those files
tyler33 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Lol, Im actually back using limewire now, I didn't like winmx to much. Its way to complicated for me.I need some help with limewire though. I can't find where my songs and other stuff are going after there downloaded. They do go into my library but will they stay in there forever, and are they any other place on my computer? This seems so much different than kazaa. The thing I really liked on kazaa was that when your downloads were down they'd go into my kazaa. I think limewire should have something like my limewire where all the downloads go into.Any ways anyhelp would be great guys, thanks.
tjobity 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I use K-Lite K++ and I love it, I've only gotten 1 or 2 songs with the screaching, but thats probably because the music I listen to is less popular, and no one bothers to put the screaching on it. I've never had a problem finding songs on it, even if the songs are almost unheard of. I dont think K++ has any spyware either, I could be wrong though. Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 I have 25 covers of "paint it black", some are pretty interesting. If you come across any SRV bootlegs that sound good, let me know. Most of them are somewhat inaudible.
