Long Cut (+1") Pants

Recommended Posts

I agree on the Bauers fitting thin and long. I just bought some XV Lites and they fit me perfect. I'm 6' 4" and the XL's were not baggy around the waist and plenty long.

I found it to be a 'meh' type of pant. Not too comfortable, but not too uncomfortable. Glad I didn't have to pay for them.

By the way Shooter. I had some Bauer 6000's and they didnt fit the same way as the Vapor line. My larges fit much wider than my XV in XL. I would probably stick to the XV or XX Vapor lites.

Fury will, otherwise Bauers tend to fit slimmer and longer

Fury pants anyone had any experience with these?

The Canadian made pants were quite good, never used the import series. I thought they were a little pricy but still very good pants.

Thanks for the info. I'm 6'3" with a 32" waist so I have to wear a large pant. Sounds like Bauers should have good length for me, I'll check them out.

I'm 6'4" with a 33/34 waist, I picked up a pair of One90's in large, they're a nice fit, hit right at the top of the kneecap. You should be fine in a Bauer large, if you're going for something in the supreme line-up. I personally didn't like the fit of the vapor pants. They felt shorter and I wasn't a fan of the tapered legs.

I am also 6'3" at 32" waist, currently in size small CCM's and it's not working out too well! I thought a medium would be perfect but apparently I need to go with large, thanks for post.

You can purchase long cut Tackla pants at The Hockey Shop. They have Tackla 5000 in +2 long cuts, they are really nice pants but expensive at $200.

Any idea how the length is on the Easton's and RBK. Both, especially the Easton seemed long however the RBK seem bulky width wise..

Any Tackla dealer can order the "long" pants.

I've heard conflicting opionions about the 5000's and the 9000's, regardless of weight, which are the most protective, especially in the hip/tailbone areas? Also, are the new RBK 9k's more protective than either?

5000 is the top of the line and the most protective. 9000 is the best combination of weight and protection in my mind. Never worn the 9ks, but they seemed heavy when I saw them.

Well I was simply linking to a dealer that does. Since many online retailers don't carry Tackla. And even some that do (hockeymonkey.com) won't necessarily order them for you when you want them. :)

I have the 9k and i love them. Great tailbone protection, and amazing hip protection, very comfortable and relativly light. Also because it's like a shell and core you can raise or lower the shell to fit however you like. As well as the thigh protection. It's worth your time to check them out.
