kovalevs stick

hey guys, i know kovalev uses a warrior ak shaft but with warrior its really hard to know what type of blade the guys use since the bottom of the shaft is black. does anyone know if kovalev, chara, and other guys who use that shaft are using wood or composite blades? also, why would guys prefer a composite shaft with composite blade instead of a one piece? honestly without knowing that the AK is a shaft, kovalevs stick looks like a one piece. is is possible that it is a dolo or kronik painted as a AK?

Yep its a comp blade. One of my best friends actually recieved a signed stick from him. The shaft is about as stiff as I have ever seen.

yeah but why wouldnt he just use a one piece. i dont see the advantage of a 2 piece except durability which pros dont really have to worry about.

I had one of these OPS AK's. I had Jeff Frisens, the blade broke off in 3 games, I think I got his unwanted pile.

Higher kickpoint, and maybe he likes to load the stick differently to compensate because he uses a really stiff flex?

The tape doesn't seem to go all the way around his blade.

some use a x-acto knife to slit off the tape on the bottom of the blade - less friction when puck handling.

others wax the hockey tape at bottom of the blade.
