Pearsonally I think its a fantastic idea, but im about as close as you can come to a male Steven Tyler groupy. Just wonderin what your guys' thoughts on it are.

It's not like their stuff is actually all that hard to play, I'm wondering how they're going to create the harder levels. I haven't read about it, I'm assuming it's loaded with old songs and not much of the newer stuff.

Well for me, I had enough of Guitar Hero after the 2nd one. Bought "Encore: Rocks the 80's" and I MIGHT'VE played it twice. I skipped the GHIII, and I'm not really an Aerosmith fan, haha.

Sooooo my interest in this one is basically non-existant. :D

Wow, I thought this was a joke topic when I first looked at it. They're seriously making an "Aerosmith" version of GH? Dang, what's next? Guitar Hero: Michael Bolton?

I haven't seen the official list, just guessing.

Walk this way

Toys in the attic

Big ten inch

Eat the rich

Dude looks like a lady

Rag Doll

Love in an elevator

Fever

Mama Kin

Train Kept a rollin

Back in the Saddle

That's the best I could come up with and some of them are huge stretches. I like some of the more obscure stuff but none of it is really all that "riffy". They're fairly rythm heavy songs with some nice leads.

Call me when the Ted Nugent version ships.

Maybe if it were the Aerosmith: Rocks edition... I'm not a fan of the post-comeback Aerosmith. Give me Toys In The Attic, Rats In The Cellar, Nobody's Fault, Back In The Saddle, Sick as a Dog... but seeing these are Aerosmith tunes no one cares about, it's highly unlikely.

They'll be able to make the songs seem over-complicated for the harder levels, it's just a game after all. Aerosmith wouldn't be the only band to have their songs made harder to play on a controller rather than on an actual guitar. This is just to cash in on good old radio favorites, I'm sure it'll be the same caliber as the rest of the Guitar Hero type games.

I actually play guitar, so Guitar Hero was never really all that interesting to me. Sure it's fun to try a couple songs at a party after downing a few brews, but not something I'd run out and buy.

I actually play guitar too, but guitar hero is still a great game. I also really like Aerosmith and I play a lot of covers of there songs so this is gonna be a great game for me.
