what does everyone else think of this? I for one really liked the third jerseys, it gave fans a chance to see something different every once in a while.

I like them but the goal for the third jersey needs to be different. Instead of trying to make the ugliest, how about making something that looks good?

The Buffo-slugs need to keep rotating the vintage... actually, that should be something common. Historical 3rd jerseys, I'm liking it. If the Canes could get approval, how many people would love to see a Whalers jersey? How about North Stars? Old black and gold Nucks jersey? Raider style Kings jersey?

I agree a common themed 3rd jersey across the league would be really cool. I know some teams haven't been around long enough to have said jerseys and dont get me wrong i do like some of the ideas that teams have come up with, a jersey tying in a teams history would be really cool to see.

It's just a money grab to keep revenues (and the cap) rising on the backs of the fans. Most of the thirds were utter failures the last time around and I suspect we'll see more of the same crap this time. There would be plenty of variety for the fans to see if the road teams were wearing their dark jerseys. Now it's just the home team against the white team.

Carolina's 3rds are black with the 'hurricane' warning flag as the crest (even though we all know its tropical storm, that horse has been beaten)... Though, before the whole jersey change stuff, they were between doing that, and having "Carolina" in script across the chest. and there was the 3rd option (though it had been axed) of doing 'CAROLINA' diagonally, like the rangers have RANGERS, and colorado has COLORADO

Sounds decent. I wouldnt mind seeing a mostly yellow jersey for the blues, like the old preds 3rds.

My favorite 3rds were the avs. I love the college style.

The Blackhawk's black 3rd was pretty cool. At least they stayed true to the logo.

I'd like to see the throwbacks again. I loved the old Blackhawk striped jerseys.

I'd love to see Phili come out in the cooperalls again.

personally instead of a third I would rather see vintage. I love when teams do retro nights and wear vintage jerseys. Although not all teams can do this which would suck for some teams.

It's highly unlikely, as Monty so showed there is some definite bad blood from places that lost teams. The Whalers are weird in general because the name and logo are owned privately. Which is why authentic jerseys are very rare and you wont find them in a video game.

vintage should be the way to go. I'm surprised no one mentioned the nordiques, that would be a great jersey to see. I think it would be cool to see jerseys from teams no longer in existence (California Golden Seals, Colorado Rockies).

Since when has Hartford owned the rights? Karmanos is still the owner of the Whalers Name/Logo last time I checked.
