NBH 4 rolls black out ?

Recommended Posts

No, but I've seen Sharpies and black 4 rolls. It reminded me of the time when I had a chocolate bar and a jar of peanut butter and thought I'd put them together.

I have pre NBH 4 Roll pro return nylon 5000s that are basically the 4 rolls and I blacked them out. The only thing is that I need to touch them up every now and then.

I don't know about with nylon, but trying to black out leather with a Sharpie (if you have a light color of leather anywhere on the glove) requires constant maintenance. I have black and white Easton's that I attempted to black out, and that ink turns to dark blue after about one day of use.

i think we are talking about taking the all black gloves and simply blacking out all the white logos which is stitching. there wont be a need to color any of the actual nylon or any leather for that matter. i think coloring the stitching should hold up pretty well

I think a black "paint marker" would work better

Never though paint pens would hold on leather well, but I'll have to look into them if they work good.

Are those really blacked out NBH 4 Rolls done by him (Kopitar) or did he just switch to an almost stock model from the custom ones he had? I know in years past and earlier this season, he had white accents on his black 4 Rolls. I have the standard black ones and they have a black leather strip down the middle with a reflective type strip over that, could it be that he had his new gloves come custom blacked out? i.e. black leather strip and black "reflective" strip? I know his old gloves also have a small white part on the thumb, which the standards don't have.

Your links show two DIFFERENT pairs of gloves. :)

First link has a marking pen blacking out the white; second link is how it comes from NBH, not that I would know. :D

Yeah, you're an Eagle rep - how would you know? ;)

Seems like the Kings did this with lots of NBH glove-wearers this season. Kopitar, Brown, Ivanans, Dallman (IIRC), and Jack Johnson all got the blackout treatment at the same time this year.

I'm 99% sure they Kings took a sharpie to the gloves. As SickBoy mentioned many of the Kings went from having black/white gloves to all black simultaneously.

Rather than starting a new topic, I have a pair of tuftek MIA's that are red/black with white logos and i'd like to black out the "MIA" on the cuff. Again, is the sharpie laundry pen the best option? The ink would be going on the printed logos obviously, not the nylon itself.
