Warranty on Pro Return

Recommended Posts

My New SicKick snapped today.

I bought this last week from the Hamilton Bulldogs. I used it twice...Sunday night and this afternoon. It was not game used by the Bulldog player...it was brand new/uncut...never even been taped when I bought it. It doesn't say anything on it about PROFESSIONAL STICK or NO WARRANTY...in fact all the warranty stickers/barcodes are still on it, and it has the warranty disclaimer and phone numbers/e-mail. I didn't get any kind of receipt.

Can I make a warranty claim?

If I have to eat the loss on the stick...where do I cut to fit a tapered blade? Is that line where the checkered pattern turns to red a fuse point?

Any recommendation on a decent blade to mimic regular OPS performance?

no warranty on pro stocks bud. Hate to burst your bubble.

Yeah, there never is.

As far as cutting it, I personally suggest flipping it upside down, however you could just cut it immediately above the break and insert whichever blade you will need, be it tapered/standard.

We picked up a bunch of V110s and V120s from the Reading Royals a couple years ago and a couple guys got replacements for them. It's worth asking them.

Figure I have better luck via e-mail or phone?

Go to Helen Waite.

Alright, I get it...I'm probably screwed...so, where do I cut?

JR's right I broke pro stock 9k brand new. RBK told that theres no return policy on pro stock sticks.. I would suggest getting it fixed SRS. I have had no problems since i had mine fixed.

I thought that was for mid-shaft breaks...this is broken pretty low for that isn't it?

Just kidding with you. The SRS idea sounds like the way to go.

Is this still considered a shaft repair...or is it low enough to be a blade repair...? There are a few places nearby that do shaft only repairs. but, no one does blade repairs.

im not familar with srs no pro shop near me does it. you can always go 2piece just put a standard blade on the the opposite side and cut to your normal legnth. or you can cut little by little till you gte a tapered blade to fit properly.

That break can easily be fixed by SRS. Find a shop that does the lower hosel repairs, it's an external repair not a internal shaft repair. Cost should be $30 or less.

FYI, the only way to get a warranty claim is to possess a receipt with the serial number on it. The reason why prostocks are sold so cheap is that they don't have a warranty.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm putting out for repair/new blade. I'll look into the SRS tomorrow...there is a place nearby that does it.

turn it into a taper shaft and you can buy a new 7k sickick blade and put it in.

That's option #2 if SRS isn't available.

while we're on this topic of the Sickick, can anyone tell me where to cut the shaft to fit a tapered blade? I fear my blade is about to go and I would like to know where to cut beforehand if i do cut the blade off if it breaks

That question is on page One! We all await an answer.

Although..."cut it slowly in stages until the blade fits" is most likely what we will end up hearing.

I bought a pro stock synergy from Sport Chek last year broke it in one weekend and they gave me a new stick.

Actually in response to Chadd's post...if a pro stock stick is sold through a retail store warranty might be effective? Makes sense.

I know the sports exchange in vancouver offers warranty but for an extra 30 bucks (on prostock sticks)
