Eagle gloves?

Recommended Posts

before someone jumps down your throat, I'll suggest that you do a couple of searches, and check out the review section for info on Eagle gloves.

Another thing to try would be to find a local shop that carries eagles and check them out for yourself.

I'll say this much, the fit will be a bit different from the Vapor XXs. it will be a bit looser and fuller through the hand. The X72s may be a bit closer to a Vapor XX fit than the "standard" X70.

- are they good? People say they are light, durable and cool. Or should i stay with my vapor 20 gloves.

Use whatever feels good and is in your budget. I currently use a pair of Nylon X72 with digital palms and they are by far the best glove I have ever used.

Stay away from the lower end Eagle gloves. I find the palms to be outrageously thick. There's better gloves you can buy for the price of low end Eagles. If you like a somewhat loose fitting glove, you'll probably like the Eagles.

I hope I don't annoy everyone with more questions on Eagle gloves but I'm curious what models you consider lower end gloves for Eagle? X5s or X6s? Is the MSH1 palm outrageously thick?

I haven't tried any of the newer ones but I had the X46. I can't exactly remember what's the exact name of the palms but here's a picture:

These gloves had very thick palms and I would've been better off buying a pair of Vapor X gloves for the same price if not a bit less.

Yes, if your looking at Eagles go for the higher end gloves. Eagles where very popular the last couple of years in the NHL but there seems to be a change going on. Lots of players going to the Nike/Bauer four roll gloves now and the Warriors gloves as well.

I also had those X46 gloves and they were alright until they dried out a few times and the palms were hard as a rock. I also had a pair of X70's but I didn't do much research about palms and ended up with what I believe was cow. Really thick and got really hard and ripped up real easily. It's good that you're researching things like this.

Almost every glove feels stiff compared to my x72. Every palm now feels thick. It's amazing how things can change once you're spoiled.

"That's what she said"

Yeah please don't ever make that joke ever again.

And yes, TBLfan, I know exactly what you mean, I feel the same way about my RBK bucket.
