chippa13 1844 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 I'm still not sold on that being a legal move. In a penalty shot the player must be moving forward toward the goal line the entire time.

Sure it looks nice and works a lot but the forward progress rule should deam this move illegal.

tjl_48 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 Nice goal. I was at the wild game last sunday when PMB did it against San Jose. My favorite part of this goal is the celebration. From the celebration he seems like a humble guy. Nice to see.

I doubt a NHL drafted player from Boston College joined modsquad to brag about himself.... As for the goal... I wouldn't count it, since he basically stopped in front and shot it. From the celebration he seems like a humble guy. Nice to see.Is someone still bitter about this goal? In regards to the spin-o-rama from Sat. night, it would be legal in the NHL. The NCAA unfortunately has a rulebook that was last changed for the 2006 season. So it's a bit antiquated and probably should adopt this NHL rule.NHL Rule 25.2"The spin-o-rama type move where the player completes a 360°turn as he approaches the goal, shall be permitted as this involvescontinuous motion."
