Maybe because his one teammate is obviously getting hammered while he is curled up in a ball against the boards, I think if that was you in that situation you would of wanted your goalie to pull the guy off of you instead of just watching from the crease not really seeming to give a shit. No doubt Roy was acting like nothing short of a clown but the other goalie should of had some respect for himself and leveled him. Could you imagine the look on St Patrick's face if that other goalie just beat the hell out of his boy? Cause we all know boys usually learn to fight from their fathers and I dont know about you guys but watching Patrick lose to Vernon then Osgood was hilarious, so you could only imagine how bad of a fighter his son is. The guy may not have necessarily been sticking up for his goalie. I think he went after Roy because he was grandstanding like a jackass (which he is) and fingering the crowd.

I wouldn't be surprised if the guy was told not to fight. It's in the playoffs, and from the way that they were winning 7-1, I'm guessing that they figured that they had more important things to worry about than having their goalie break his hand or something fighting some kid, who is only there because his dad is the coach and owns the team, in a total blowout.

Hell, I don't care if the goalie kicked your dog: You're in the playoffs and your starting goalie is getting beat up. You go after the guy.

Cmon now. It matters to us that live here and a few of us post on here. I wouldnt expect you to understand. AAA midget/junior/HS/college are all a part of hockey and worth discussing to those familiar with it.
