Dazed and Confused

Okay, I'm not from the states but maybe someone from the states can help me out with this. I don't understand how they are seniors if they are going back in the fall to play football again? Unless it's like how the kids just graduated grade 8, and they will be freshmen in the fall and the "seniors" just graduated grade 11

Yes, the "seniors" are juniors (grade 11) that just graduated. They are not seniors yet, it is just their summer before senior year.

But anyway... great movie isn't it? One of my favorites.

Ask TBLFAN where he got his copy from. ;)

It is about the only movie where McCanaughay (spelling??) is actually one cool customer.....and can pull off pink jeans. ;)

Might be Affleck's best work.

you forgot about Gigli. haha

if you are serious someone should probably find where you live and beat sense into your head.

yes, this movie is awesome, and kind of makes me wish i grew up in a small texas town in the 70's.

Sweet music throughout to.

I've got the Soundtracks (Vol 1 & 2) too. Great driving music.

I'm going to try and find them, and like a month after I turn 16 i'll probably have enough money for a decent car. I love the scene at the start with Sweet emotion playing and the car rolls into the parking lot(don't remember exact model right now)

Might be Affleck's best work.

I respectfully disagree. Good Will Hunting gets my nod, even though Damon pretty much carried everyone in that one.

Fuck me. All his works were/are so bad, I figured you were just going with what you felt was the lesser of all the evils.

I'm the dense one.

And McConaughey's as well.

Don't forget "Hollywoodland." Affleck was really solid in that film.

responding to the original post, I think sometime in the movie one of the nerdier characters (the redhead girl perhaps) says something about how all the seniors are off on their senior trip. I guess they just consider themselves seniors the moment the class ahead of them graduates. Confusing tho...

This movie is CLASSIC! I've seen it at least 20 times and for some reason it just always puts me in a good mood. I think b/c it just follows one of the most kick-ass days a high schooler could hope to have.

I'm not sure if its McConaughey's best.. but he plays the scummy guy who hangs around the high school too long WAY too well.

Mallrats, gotta be Mallrats...

He was solid in Mallrats.....but not up to par with some of his other works.

I liked him in Dogma. That opinion may, or may not, draw criticism.
