dry gloves

Recommended Posts

I have just recently bought a new pair of Tps R8 gloves and have had problem trying to get them dry.Any advice in drying gloves with out putting them on the radiator. I prefer to have my gloves dry but not crusty dry that it prevents my movement.

take them out of your bag immediately after getting home from the rink, and put them near a fan. Should dry them farly quickly

i prefer my gloves still moist. just me. i cant stand crusty gloves so i usually run them under the faucet before i play too.

That dries them out even more.

not a great idea.

I've never had a problem with drying gloves or them being crusty. I've always just laid them out to dry immediately after playing, in front of a fan set on low along with all of my other gear. Once they were dry, turn off the fan.

I don't know how TPS gloves are but I pull the liners in my Eagles out (more like inside out since they stay attached) and it seems to work well.

Set them on a windowsill with the window open, or on your back porch or something.... just check the forecast, and make sure there's no rain.

If you really, really insist on 'dampening' them, for the sake of your gloves lifespan..... wet your hand, then insert into glove, try not open up the faucet on them.

Or use some shaving cream with lanolin every so often. I used to keep a can in my bag and rub some in the palms before I played. It conditions the leather and keeps it soft without further ruining and drying the palms.

hmm. what would that lotion you rub on baseball gloves to break em in, do to help? or do u think it would be bad...

I haven't checked into this, but I've heard that lanolin is in baseball glove oil I just wouldn't use baseball glove oil because I feel that it would make my palms too oily. The shaving cream moistens them without making them oily, and keeps them from getting crusty.

my gloves used to get crusty dry and i put on some ball glove oil and it worked like a charm, but it started to irritate my hands and give me a rash so i started using shaving cream and i have to say i like it better than glove oil

foam > oil

that still doesnt kill the bacteria though.

I'm working on that, I just don't have the funds to get all of my projects off the ground at once.

What brand shaving cream containts lanolin? All of them, or just a certain brand? I recently got new gloves and would like to take good care of them and thought this would be a good idea (and a cheap one!).

Many types of Barbasol shaving cream have lanolin in it. I picked up a bunch at a $.99 store, just look at the ingredients list on the back.
