Easton Iginla vs. NBH P88 Lindros

Recommended Posts

I'm an Iginla shooter and was given the oppurtunity to get some vapor XXXX's on the cheap.

I've looked at all the curve charts I can find and the Lindros definatly looks like it should be the same curve. For those of you who have used them both, what is your opinion; I looked at the two curves in my LHS and they look slightly different to me, but I have a terribly eye for perception.

Any insight is appreciated.

You shouldn't have any problem switching between the two patterns. I only used the Iginla twice but the lie was the same as the Lindros IMO. The differences in the curve was minimal and I didn't need to adjust my shot much at all

Are the lies that close? That's waht has been keeping me from trying the P88.

Like I said, I only used the Iginla twice but the Lindros is not a true lie of 6 like NBH claims. I thought they were very close, can someone confirm this?

Look at the Malkin (pm9?) as well... I think that might be a little closer to the Ignila. Its close to the p88, but not as deep.

P88 is a little deeper, more neutral face and a longer blade than the mild, closed, short bladed Iginla.

P88 also has a huge rocker on the bottom.

FWIW, I play an Iginla and PM9 more similar than an Iginla and a P88. Probably because the Iginla has a bit less curve.

Anyone notice that the newer P88's seem to be more of a heel curve than the older ones?

Yes, I did (thought it was just me though), which is why I switched to an Easton Heatley.

I've used the Lindros curve for a few years, since the Tri Flex Gold. I thought that the curve slightly changed and got a little bigger when it went from the Vapor XX to the Vapor XXX. Can anyone verify this?

While I have all these Inginla shooters on the board, I'd like to thank you for your responses, I want to expand the question a bit though.

These two go for all companies, since chart is hard to get a proper read with"

What other companies curves have you switched to that are very similar?

What other companies curves have you found that are completely identical?

That second question may not have an answer, but any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

G

i love the p88 but i think i saw a curve that is very similar if not identical in the mission Hossa... with the 60 day warranty on the Ti-pro's im strongly thinkin about picking one up....hard to stop with the one90's though

My Iginla is 99% similar to my Mission Hull (which is now the Hossa).

As for larger mids, the Warrior Robitaille is pretty big. And the Recchi is similar to the P88 but with a squarer toe.

i thought that i would be able to go from p88 to an iginla but the blade length was very hard to get used to compared to what i was using before. if you can get over that your golden.

ditto this as well for P88 and the Recchi. So I went to a P92

I have used with good success. TPS Messier, Nash on occasion, P92. Its all about the Mission Prostocks right now

My LHS (Perani's) has Innovative Prostock Tapered Blades, I bought a couple P106's because they looked so close to the P88 they had there, but they are still different from my slightly less lofted Iginla. I may pass up on this Vapor XXXX deal and just stick with Easton sticks even if they cost more.
