New ST out yet?

I was in my lhs yesterday and they had one of the new ST (very nice stick btw i have an old blue one) anyways... i havent seen them anywhere else in shops or online.

does anyone know if they are out yet or did the shop get one early (which i doubt as i live in TN, but still)

id buy the one in the proshop but its not my curve

we dont have any in my store yet, and we have all the other easton stuff minus skate order and helmets i believe. i think they ship in stages so im sure its only a matter of a week or two before they are mainstream.

no i didnt ask the guy working he was busy with someone else. they also had se16 skates but they only had one pair so i guess they are just a couple of early shipped items. i guess ill have to wait and see if they get anymore.

They have the ST Shaft at my LHS but not the OPS. Haven't gotten my Toy drive stick yet (I'm in Canada) but I asked for a Drury curve and since switched to a Sakic so i'm probably just gonna sell it to someone on my team if they want to buy it and just get a new ST instead with a Sakic pattern. The ST is hard to beat...I get slashed so many times in a game and my ST's have always lasted me like 4-5 months.

It might have been me, but it felt as if the new ST was even boxier than the older versions. Can anyone comment on this?

I didnt notice much of a diff other than the texture shaft with the grip coating. Nice added touch IMO.

I have only seen the grip model but am curious if the non-grip still has the texture finish on the shaft. ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE?

Yes, the non-grip version has the tactile texture on the shaft.

I know not a whle lot of pro's use the ST anyway but I wonder if some do they just paint with the S17 on them, wonder if Phaneuf will use one next year..gotta be out of greens soon enough.

im pretty sure phaneuf's are just a custom paint job because they don't have the same graphics as the retail green st, similar to marty st. louis' yellow ones.
