Pro Equipment Sales

Any planning on going to Nashville or Colmbus's Sale and can help me out with some stuff?

The Columbus sale is decent, but you can get a lot of stuff during the season at the games or i think thru the Blue Line at the same prices they were selling stuff for at last year's sale. It's definitely worth checking out the actual sale, but they do a decent job of selling stuff all season.

sorry I wasn't clear. Can any one help me with information on the Columbus or Nashville sale, Im planning on trying to go if they are occurring after I get out of school.

They won't release the date until after the season, but i want to say the CBJ sale was sometime in late april or may. they should post the date on the team website.

last season it was STH only on the first day, and general public on the second. I went on the second and there were a ton of sticks. There were maybe a half dozen each of helmets, gloves, and skates.

Teams usually have their sales after the season is over. I got some equipment from the rangers in the middle of May last year because by that time, their season was over. The wings didn't have their sale until June because thats when their season wrapped up. One thing I have noticed is the worse a team does the better a haul you get. Players are up and down from the minors alot and get traded and leave team colored items (gloves, pants, helmets) behind.

It has been said on here that the Rags don't do team sales. How did you get the info as to when/where?

There is no where or when for the rangers. My boss is close friends with the rangers equipment manager. A couple weeks after the season wraps up, he gives my boss a call and down we go. My store sells alot of used equipment so besides the normal stuff people go for (ie pants, gloves, sticks) we take elbows, helmets, shoulders, stuff that no one would really want. Some items are off access such as any Lundqvist equipment, or some of the more popular sticks like shanny and drury. The team has the guys autograph that kind of stuff to auction off at charity events and other things of that nature.

Where is your shop? I would love to come take a look. I would imagine it's in the NYC Metro-area? PM me.

The Islanders now own the pro shop at Iceworks so from what I hear [i have a friend who works there] They get stuff in from time to time otherwise there is a booth right around gate 13 if I remember correctly but I could be wrong :P, during the games that sells used equipment. I'm not sure if they have an official sale during the summer or anything though.

Anyone know if the Ducks have an equipment sale in the off-season? I'm looking to get my hands on some Getzlaf sticks. Any info would be great, thanks.

Yes, they do have one during the off season. Unfortunately last season's equipment sale had gear from seasons past, so the chance of you getting a Getzy SE16 might be slim, but perhaps all the "newer" gear was gone before I got there. I.E. - I wanted to get a hold of some Corey Perry Stealth CNTs but they only had his TPS sticks.

If that's the case, you can pick up Getzlaf's Synergy Elites that are repainted as S17s, which he used last season.

are there any teams that use all-red gloves in the midwest, besides detroit and grand rapids? and would they happen to have equipment sales

I'm pretty sure no NHL team(s) will be holding any equipment sales at this time of the year. The majority of sales happen during the summer and in the past they have been posted at least a week ahead of time in this thread. That being said, I don't think anybody will have answers with regards to the questions asking, "When will team X, Y, or Z have their sale?" because teams are probably busy planning what they're going to do for the rest of the season and not planning a sale.

As far as sticks are concerned, I've found at past LA Kings sales most of the good sticks you will find are the ones left behind by a player that was traded or left the team via free agency. The current player sticks usually seem to be rejects w/ funky curves or used ones that are damaged. Make sure to take the tape off the blades and inspect it before you buy.

I know that they hold the sales during the spring/summer after the seasons over but the past few years i've heard aboiut them pretty early and was ust seeing if it was the same case this year

I dunno, Phoenix might sell you the whole team for the right price ;)

I think most of know that the sales won't be happening anytime soon, but seeing as how I live no where near California I would need to make plans sooner rather than later....... I'm just looking for any eastons with Getzlaf's pattern on it whether it be S17 or SE.

Anybody planning on going to the Ducks sale this off-season?

Learned that one the hard way at my first equipment sale...good thing the stick was only $50. Now I have a nice Synergy SE shaft.
